Abusing firing priorities to combomb through AA is fun (Banshee is always targeted first).

Well thats back when i played BA, clearly.

Still the great thing about BA is that it hasnt changed in two years. Which means that everything that happened then is still valid. Banshees make great tanks for an atlas.

Unless there's an engine change, like flying wrecks.

Or laser turrets getting range nerf as a result of an engine change..

I don't know why this hasn't been discussed yet, but am I the only one that thinks the new T1 bombers are almost useless now? Their damage output is just laughable, even against grouped units. They don't even seem to aim properly, most of their payload is dropped behind the target. I'd say just revert the BA7.00 change, while keeping their lower costs.

Also, while the role of pork breaking tool and all that should remain, T2 bomber damage really is a bit on the high side, maybe raise their metal cost to compensate a bit..

New T1 bombers are nice, they do ~400 dmg per drop and 168AOE + can be masseed quite quickly. Its devastating to bobmb fast fus with them

New t1 bombers are also better for attacking t1 units (due to area of effect more likely to hit them when they're moving).

They're also really really good at killing windmills and metal makers.

I dont really like the new bomber damage, yes does fare better against many units but much worse in other situations. Main thing is that they cant kill solars or missile towers anymore, with 1 pass. They also kill wind too easily now imo. I mean they killed wind farms better then solars before too, but now the difference between the 2 is too big. They are now useless in some situations where they could be viable before.

ive noticed that a lot of times the bot AI's can force their units to walk over dragons teeth, and also sheer cliffs ...

'hurr i made 7 bombaz and cant kill com, wtfux!'

thats the beauty of spring, one units wont pwn everything. bombers always should have more tactical use that 'spam and rape' (especially t1)

btw. thing that annoys me most is that u talk about units more or less popular and do not talk about units that barely anyone is using... like fidos or banshees

Agreed.

Fido, banshee, gimp, skuttle, could use some examination. Actually the banshee is similar to the seaplane and t2 gunships -- very rarely see any of those.

But who knows, maybe they're actually good and we've all forgot.

Wtf are you talking about, bombers kill com much better than before now... But they are less rewarding to micro individually.
