Re: SpringInfo "Player Portal"
I think the section, Getting Started, (which (to me atleast) seems pretty much copy and paste (which is fine, not being critical)) could be revised. The section on Dgunning could be revised to eliminate the presumtion on a TA based mod, along with alot of other sections.
Other than that though, great looking site, and i agree with the above poster on the RSS icon, could probaly be re photoshopped
Nice work

Great site. Just one question, what makes a mod a game or a minigame?

I don't mind fleshing out an IW page, dunno what your rules are on having incomplete/unreleased games.

Re: SpringInfo "Player Portal"
I don't see any problem with it to be honest. IW, Gundam, and EE are all copy pasta's directly from evolutionrts.info, and really, could me done much much better. But remember, I was grabbing a LOT of content.Warlord Zsinj wrote:I don't mind fleshing out an IW page, dunno what your rules are on having incomplete/unreleased games.
@koshi, I agree with the tooltips, however, I'm having difficulty locating where it is being called on every link. I'll start looking again.
ATM tasclient is the only thing Included with spring, sucky as that may be, so I did not mention it explicitly for that reason, regardless of how much I wanted to. What would be EXTREMELY helpful is if someone would write up a VERY DETAILED and NEWB FRIENDLY guide on how to use Springlobby in singleplayer in one article, and multiplayer in another. See what is already there For examples. At which point the user will be given anchor links based upon which lobby they are using, and a "Hell I dunno" link which will default to one of them.
About the Month shortname background image, I can see your point, I'll whip up a replacement in PS.
Concerning unclean rounded edges: Yes you are correct, however, atm it's a fairly low priority because that's just being nitpicky. Not to say that it should never be addressed, just not at this particular moment.
@clumsy and lordmuffe, I see that you registered. Are you wanting to be either a newsposter or editor (Editor has the power to change page content)--(if not that's totally fine, no big deal

@clumsy, you are right, I didn't catch all the TA references in getting started. It is very much just a modified copy pasta. I'll fix that soon.
Well minigames are things like, the dark side of spring, or commshooter, or fibre. Minigames meaning that while they may be complete, they are not full fledged RTS games. Speaking of, I haven't written the minigames description page yet... mental note.
@AF, and now it is.
Edit: RSS was a low priority, until I found that there are approximately 50 million people making all kinds of RSS icons of all types of designs... That said, if you find one that you like better and it is at least 100x100, let me know.
Re: SpringInfo "Player Portal"
Always use the original universal feed icon imo.
And really, the lobby should not need a how to. The only tutorial it should ever need is a quick screen shot showing how to run the installer.

Screenshot is from Firefox 3, and Opera 9.51 has the same sized text. I was just mentioning that IE6 can't even resize the text on the site. (By the way I believe IE6 still has a bigger market share than all versions of Firefox, Opera, and Safari combined.)Forboding Angel wrote: IE6?
Quoting for emphasis. 7 pixels on 1680x1050 monitor is totally ridiculously small and its not just an IE problem since I tried it in Firefox as previously stated. ... you aren't impressing me. I have 21" crt 2048x1536 and I can read it. If you have trouble, do what everyone else in the world does and use crtl+mouse wheel. It won't hurt, I promise. But 11 pt font is fairly common, so get used to it.

You cannot expect the end-user to have to act to implement basic readability in your site.

@Clumsy,
Believe me I would greatly appreciate the help. I need dedicated newsposters badly. ATM I'm gonna have to be doing it myself and I promise you, I'm not that great at it. Pretty much all you would need to do is skim the forums every day or every other day and maek newsposts concerning the interesting bits.
I have just made you a contributor level which will allow you to write posts and stuff. Thanks for the helpage! If you want more responsibility let me know, I've got a list longer than long dong silver that needs to be done

Re: SpringInfo "Player Portal"
Ok, i check the forums every 6 hours or so and read everything apart from the Help/Bugs forum. So do you want newsposts on things like new releases (of widgets, mods, etc) and/or controversy
