Well then its such a shame everyone made ba variants while xta for spring was after all the first and always will be the first of total annihilation mods for spring, end statement.

Actually spring first had some weird musket war thing. I don't buy the competition for players crap, I think currently the player competition is lite. Maybe something between BA/SA/CA

I deny such summoning as a clam possibly cannot fight a buffalo, for a buffalo will never take notice of a clam! In fact this situation the buffalo would be more concerned why hes on a beach and what a nice rock he sees on the ground.

Actually XTA predates spring as it was an OTA mod. A quick look here would tell you that much.

If your going to troll, at least do it right.

AA was around before spring to HUR HUR as was UBERhack AND gundam :P.

Well, at least you inadvertantly supported my suggestion that any vaguely coherent/productive discussion is better served somewhere other than this thread/these forums.

NO WAI, I never suggested that mod creation be done on sites other than this forum!

Pintle, seriously i wasn't trolling, I felt that my post was in line with what I saw as part of the discussion and it is. The drama surrounding players, releases and possibly competitive attitudes is a repeating discussion here. So rather then say I am trolling consider that it IS relevant.

Not that I think XTA is really in competition with anything, as I said in my post earlier, you know one of the ones you deemed as trolling... CA/BA/SA are where the next bit of drama/community infighting is going to happen. XTA is off to the side.

The idea is that a players time can only be occupied with one thing at a time and that all mods are fighting for our time as players. Some people maintain that all games compete with each other. I feel that the games in spring cannot compete evenly.

To me saying that gundam and s44 would be competing for players is like saying an apple and orange are competing to be a potato. While spring's ta based mods are more like apples versus apples. I still believe that people have certian very polarized interests. Like Granny smith apples(sour) and red delicious(sweet). However, even in an apple and apple some people like tart and other like sweet.

So I do not feel that the spring projects are in any sort of competition but some players feel the urge to champion their favorite project and try to start competition between projects. Now when BA supplanted AA there was an ugly bit of drama but I think the community is pretty set in it's way :P.

Speaking of which flavor people like, like many people have said, I play it because its the hardest mod or w/e, i forget where the image was, but it was awesome.

So can we presume that you have fuck-all intention of responding to the players about their concerns?

A few people have suggested to me in private that they could undertake developement of XTA, remove the broken crap you added and trim the FX so frame rates remain playable. I suggested hold up a and see how you responded either here or on the XTA boards...
