Nice model wombat, but huge barrels with tiny turret bases, look rather silly.

Personnaly, I'd make him juggle the halberd to switch which hand is free to fire.
Would that even be possible? That sounds like it would be a bitch to script! I gave him a gun on either arm, as I (no experiance, but as a gusee based on how think it should be done) would assume that would make it easier for having an equal fire arc either side... just using the appropriot arm... I could be totaly wrong though! (and probably am!)
Will he use the halberd then? Would be cool to have it as a weapon binded to a key, like dgun...

i think some wires got crossed; pretty sure wombat has a clear picture in his head of what he wants to make before he begins

also sometimes with modelling you have (to quote bob ross) "happy little accidents" where you realize you've gained something along the way that was unexpected but welcome

hell, im a big fan of the paintings of jackson pollock; and they are about as far from "planned" as anything made intentionally could be

It could likewise cause issues re: swapping between the melee (Not in the Opera dictionary wtf) and ranged weapons. Well I guess that's what PL adnd zwzsg pointed out. As for swapping, yeah it's possible. At least the easy way would be to have two copies of the halberd; one in each hand, and show/hide the pieces as appropriate. As so often with Spring, the hacky way is usually the easiest.

Not saying you have to plan every little thing. ;)

Of course you should always leave room for spontaneity, just saying you should have a clear idea of the shape and flow of the model, and having that on paper makes it much more tangible and easy to pick out problems and fix them before you put too much work into the model, or just get a better feel for the asthetics and functionality of it.

I think there's one in UFO Defense or w/e, but frankly it looks pretty bad.

well I'm not texturing that POS, so Ill stick to stealing other people's models and modifying them and making games that I test for a few weeks and then archiving them and bury it in the HDD. It's a lot easier than making new content.

Ask FLOZi to UV map it.

That would involve purchasing and distributing narcotics in such a way that he would be able to use limited amounts regularly. You don't have the money for that.

I love it, for the leap it takes, overcoming generations of boring bots with a badass design it has. DO NOT GIVE IN TO CRITICISM AT THIS POINT, STAY TRUE TOO YOUR MASTERPIECE, AND DONT DO THAT FINAL FINNISHING BRUSH THAT WOULD RUIN IT.
