Total side note: LDD is made by Qubesoft (who originally made direct 3d, but now work exclusively in OpenGL) using their completely OpenGL fully customizable engine that requires no hard coding, just adding components. Apparently there is a Maya & 3DS Max plug-in imbedded in it so there is a possibly to be able to export models from it and lower the poly count for use in LEGO Spring. The developer kit can open the .q database files installed in the LDD directory. Just thought you might like to know.
