Hell, I'm stoked that someone who actually does something for the Spring community is reading this stuff. That's pretty cool, if I do say so myself.

Now that I've finished fixing the Wiki, but not finishing it, I've finished the next part of E.L.F.

The plot thickens. And I thank you all for reading. Expecially...you. Yes, you. I'm pointing right at you.

Don't make faces at me, dude! I can see you through this!

Chapter Three: Captured.

Jimmy's eyes creaked open. He slammed them shut a moment later, as soon as he first tried to breath. His chest felt like it was on fire.

Again.

├óÔé¼┼ôWhoa there,├óÔé¼┬Ø A female voice murmured. ├óÔé¼┼ôDon't move.├óÔé¼┬Ø

Pix? Jimmy tried to move, but his muscles didn't want to work. He took another breath.

├óÔé¼┼ôOne second,├óÔé¼┬Ø The female voice said. ├óÔé¼┼ôThere we go. Is that better?├óÔé¼┬Ø

Much better, Jimmy wanted to say as he got out of bed. Thank you very much. Too bad that his body didn't move. It didn't even breath. He felt something slide into his throat and air flowed into his lungs. Jimmy closed his eyes.

----------

Hir marched Pix down the hallway. Pix couldn't tell where the system she was. The hallway was completely blank, long and straight. Pix walked down the hallway for what seemed to be forever. Then, finally, the hallway curved to the side and into a door. Hir pressed the button next to the door and the door slid open.

Pix gasped.

On the other side of the door...was a forest. A real forest. An honest to tubing forest. The roof...it didn't look like a roof, at all. Instead it was a deep blue, studded with small sun lamps. Bulbous, white puffy things floated around the roof. But it wasn't the roof that held Pix's eyes. It was the trees. Instead of being green and brown, as her memory banks told her they should be, the trees were pink, their leaves so bright it hurt to look at them. The trunks were a dull orange and, rather than bark, they were covered by a odd looking ooze.

Hir said something, pointing at the trees. Pix rolled her eyes, her antennae twiddling around till they found the local Internet connection. She tried to download the Xorquin language...sewage, there wasn't enough room in her hard drive. Pix decided to delete the human language and replace it with the Xorquin. For now.

The rattling turned into: ├óÔé¼┼ôThis is the home of the Yetel. You shall do everything I say, or you will die screaming.├óÔé¼┬Ø

Pix coughed and tried to say, ├óÔé¼┼ôYou don't scare me.├óÔé¼┬Ø

Hir stared at her, his outer eyes blinking closed momentarily. ├óÔé¼┼ôYou're accent is terrible.├óÔé¼┬Ø

├óÔé¼┼ôYou still don't scare me,├óÔé¼┬Ø Pix muttered, the rattling coming out all gooey and smooshy and blended together.

Hir paused, his mouth opening, then closing. Then one of his hands looped around Pix's chest, his other squeezing painfully on her right breast.

├óÔé¼┼ôHuman and Xorquin genitalia are completely incompatible. You would not enjoy being raped by your own race...I doubt you'd survive a rape by mine.├óÔé¼┬Ø

Pix froze, her muscles locking up. Hir squeezed one last time, then let her go. Pix staggered away, biting her lip.

├óÔé¼┼ôNow, walk,├óÔé¼┬Ø Hir said. Pix walked, blinking furiously. She walked into the forest, Hir walking behind her. The forest surrounded them, a blinding array of pink. The trees had a smell to them. It wasn't a nasty smell. It smelled like...cake. Jimmy's mom had made good cake. Pix sniffled. She wouldn't cry.

├óÔé¼┼ôTurn,├óÔé¼┬Ø Hir said, pointing. Pix followed his pointing finger and walked through the trees.

Suddenly Hir was no longer next to Pix. Pix jumped, looking around frantically. She supposed she should have been happy...except her hands were still cuffed.

A Yetel dropped out of a nearby tree. He landed, his wings frittering. It said something in a mushy language that sounded like soup mashed into a mouth while someone was trying to shout at the top of his lungs.

That language was still familer to Pix. Suddenly, she remembered. Human language.

├óÔé¼┼ôI don't speak Human language,├óÔé¼┬Ø Pix said, the Xorquin words coming out all mushy.

├óÔé¼┼ôAh,├óÔé¼┬Ø The Yetel said, his vocal part actually capable of pronouncing the Xorquin words with relative ease. ├óÔé¼┼ôWhat are you doing in our territory?├óÔé¼┬Ø

├óÔé¼┼ôI-├óÔé¼┬Ø Pix remembered the squeezing hand on her breast. ├óÔé¼┼ôI'm just visiting.├óÔé¼┬Ø

The Yetel looked at Pix, his wings flapping out, then in again. ├óÔé¼┼ôYou're hand cuffed.├óÔé¼┬Ø

├óÔé¼┼ôOh...this?├óÔé¼┬Ø Pix said. She forced a smile. ├óÔé¼┼ôThis is a game.├óÔé¼┬Ø

The Yetel looked confused, it's mandibles opening, closing, it's wings frittering slightly. Then it shrugged, an adopted human expression, and jumped into the trees, then jumping away, vanishing.

├óÔé¼┼ôIt is good that you did not say anything,├óÔé¼┬Ø Hir said, standing. His skin turned from the orange green of the grass to his normal emerald green. ├óÔé¼┼ôOr else this-├óÔé¼┬Ø he held up his gun. ├óÔé¼┼ôWould have made you very unhappy.├óÔé¼┬Ø

├óÔé¼┼ôYou're a motherless, cross breeding, sewage sucker!├óÔé¼┬Ø Pix shouted. Hir back handed her and she landed in the loam. Pix shuddered, her cheek burning.

├óÔé¼┼ôThat was a tap,├óÔé¼┬Ø Hir said, grabbing Pix by the scruff of her neck and hauling her to her feet. ├óÔé¼┼ôNow, behave. We have a long way to go.├óÔé¼┬Ø

├óÔé¼┼ôI'm going to kill you,├óÔé¼┬Ø Pix said. ├óÔé¼┼ôSlowly and painfully.├óÔé¼┬Ø

Hir laughed and pushed her further into the forest.

--------

├óÔé¼┼ôJames Leonite, Junior.├óÔé¼┬Ø The Slor doctor sat in his bath of nutritive liquids and read. ├óÔé¼┼ôLeonite? Computer, how common a name is that?├óÔé¼┬Ø

├óÔé¼┼ôThere are fifty three Leonite families in the Human population.├óÔé¼┬Ø

The Slor 'sighed'. To a non-Slor, it looked like the Slor had sprayed a stream of goo into the ceiling. The goo dripped down onto it, a pleasant rainfall of warm goo.

Jimmy shifted in his bed, eyes frittering open. He turned his head to the side and saw a massive slug thing sitting in what looked like an over sized petri dish. The Slor doctor excreted a slurry of goo with different flavors and textures. The translator that sat on his back worked out the goo patterns into: ├óÔé¼┼ôGood Morn, Sirrah.├óÔé¼┬Ø

├óÔé¼┼ôWhat?├óÔé¼┬Ø Jimmy croaked.

├óÔé¼┼ôI am your doctor Slugrherieathis.├óÔé¼┬Ø

Jimmy blinked. ├óÔé¼┼ôDo...you....have...a...shorter...name?├óÔé¼┬Ø

├óÔé¼┼ôYou may call me Henry,├óÔé¼┬Ø The Slor said. ├óÔé¼┼ôYou are very, very, very, very lucky to be alive, James.├óÔé¼┬Ø

├óÔé¼┼ôI...don't...feel...lucky,├óÔé¼┬Ø Jimmy said, closing his eyes.

├óÔé¼┼ôThe plasma round was only in contact with your body for a few moment's before it's stickiness wore off and the plasma was carried upwards.├óÔé¼┬Ø

├óÔé¼┼ôI...don't understand,├óÔé¼┬Ø Jimmy said.

├óÔé¼┼ôPlasma is a form of gas, correct? Plasma weapons would be useless if they simply lobbed plasma, which would go straight upwards and through the ceiling. So plasma weapons fire sticky balls of metal that have plasma contained in a magnetic field inside them. Once they adhere to the target, the magnetic fields turn off and...well, you end up dead, or in my care.├óÔé¼┬Ø

├óÔé¼┼ôWhere...am I?├óÔé¼┬Ø Jimmy asked, his head pounding.

├óÔé¼┼ôYou are in the Outer Layer of Tinsel Townie, Middle levels. We're are situated near the river Tibercla, a major Yetel settlement.├óÔé¼┬Ø

├óÔé¼┼ôWhere...is Pix?├óÔé¼┬Ø

├óÔé¼┼ôWho?├óÔé¼┬Ø

Jimmy closed his eyes. ├óÔé¼┼ôWhen will I get out of bed?├óÔé¼┬Ø he asked.

├óÔé¼┼ôIn a week, maybe less. It depends on weather or not the chemicals we're using are calibrated to your immune-├óÔé¼┬Ø

The computer in the room chimed. Henry paused. The computer stuck a prong into his skin and secreted a pattern of goo. Henry sighed again. Some of his 'sigh' fell on Jimmy, who was too weak to care.

├óÔé¼┼ôIt seems you are related to Ambassador Leonite,├óÔé¼┬Ø Henry said.

├óÔé¼┼ôW...what?├óÔé¼┬Ø

├óÔé¼┼ôWe've just received a Message, authorizing you for nano-treatment. In a few hours, we will operate. Till then, I have to prepare. Please excuse me, Sirrah.├óÔé¼┬Ø

The petri dish floated out of the room, humming softly.

Jimmy tried to get to sleep, but his chest kept throbbing. Each breath caused dull pain to shoot through his body, making him wish he was dead, or asleep, or...anything, anything other than injured.

├óÔé¼┼ôGreetings, Young Leonite,├óÔé¼┬Ø A deep voice said. Jimmy tried to sit up, but only managed to get his head slightly off the pillow. There was no one else in the room.

├óÔé¼┼ôI am communicating using the computer. How are you feeling, Young Leonite?├óÔé¼┬Ø

├óÔé¼┼ôBad,├óÔé¼┬Ø Jimmy coughed. ├óÔé¼┼ôWho the tubes are you?├óÔé¼┬Ø

├óÔé¼┼ôI am a...benefactor,├óÔé¼┬Ø The voice said. ├óÔé¼┼ôYou may call me...Fox.├óÔé¼┬Ø

├óÔé¼┼ôF..Fox?├óÔé¼┬Ø

├óÔé¼┼ôIt is a silly name, I know. But I believe that it fits.├óÔé¼┬Ø

├óÔé¼┼ôWho...are you?├óÔé¼┬Ø

├óÔé¼┼ôI am myself,├óÔé¼┬Ø Fox said. When nothing else was forthcoming, Jimmy continued.

├óÔé¼┼ôWhat do you want?├óÔé¼┬Ø

├óÔé¼┼ôI want to help,├óÔé¼┬Ø Fox said. ├óÔé¼┼ôYou're friend, Pixie, is in trouble. You must help her.├óÔé¼┬Ø

├óÔé¼┼ôTrouble! Where!├óÔé¼┬Ø Jimmy wanted to sound more concerned, but it was getting harder to talk.

├óÔé¼┼ôShe is currently on this level, but is being lead away from the route you two planned on. She is being taken to the Forget.├óÔé¼┬Ø

├óÔé¼┼ôForget?├óÔé¼┬Ø Jimmy asked. It was getting harder to stay awake every moment

├óÔé¼┼ôIt is at the edge of this forest. Ask the doctor when he comes back. This is vitally important that you save Pix.├óÔé¼┬Ø

├óÔé¼┼ôI...know,├óÔé¼┬Ø Jimmy gasped. He blinked, ready to continue the conversation. Instead he fell asleep.

The computer turned it's speakers off. Henry never used them, so he would have been suspicious if they had been on when he had come back. Fox hadn't gotten this far without being...careful.

Addendum: I'd like to say that Chapter Four will be called: Fun with Gravity. If that dosn't excite you...it should.

Knowing you, that fun better not be what I suspect it's going to be...

It involves a jet turbine, a poorly timed jump and a hover trolly.

I'm a keeping on a posting, all the live long day.

Jimmy woke up when Henry's over sized petri dish settled to the floor, clinking softly. Henry sighed, waiting for the nurse to come in. The nurse, who was a human female, walked in holding a long, thin vial of gray liquid.

├óÔé¼┼ôJames?├óÔé¼┬Ø Henry asked. ├óÔé¼┼ôAre you awake?├óÔé¼┬Ø

Jimmy nodded as best he could.

├óÔé¼┼ôGood. This will be very interesting for you,├óÔé¼┬Ø Henry slid two manipulator hands out from under his bulbous body and reached for the nurse, who put the vial into his hands. The petri dish floated off the ground and to the side of the bed.

├óÔé¼┼ôWhat...what are you going to do?├óÔé¼┬Ø Jimmy asked.

├óÔé¼┼ôThis,├óÔé¼┬Ø Henry said, cracking the vial in half above Jimmy. The liquid fell onto Jimmy's chest, then flowed of it's own accord across his wound, eating through the bandages and the cloth and the burnt flesh and damaged skin. It formed into the shape of Jimmy's chest, filling in the hole it had made. A moment later and feeling smashed into Jimmy, a sudden flood of sensation from his chest. It hurt like hell, making him draw a deep breath and scream, his back arching.

The pain passed and Jimmy collapsed back to the bed, closing his eyes. He was breathing again. The tube that had slithered down his throat came out, painlessly and with only a slight jerk at the back of his mouth.

├óÔé¼┼ôThere,├óÔé¼┬Ø Henry said as the nurse helped Jimmy sit up. ├óÔé¼┼ôYou have a new pair of lungs and chest hair.├óÔé¼┬Ø

Jimmy felt his chest, which felt...normal. He breathed in, then out, and smiled. ├óÔé¼┼ôWow...what was that stuff?├óÔé¼┬Ø

├óÔé¼┼ôNano bots, or microscopic robots. They took your damaged flesh and reshaped it to what you needed, Sirrah. You are now free to leave.├óÔé¼┬Ø

Jimmy felt his chest again, blinking. Then he remembered Pix. ├óÔé¼┼ôGood,├óÔé¼┬Ø he muttered, standing and stretching. ├óÔé¼┼ôI feel...good.├óÔé¼┬Ø

├óÔé¼┼ôNano therapy is very effective,├óÔé¼┬Ø Henry said, sighing. Jimmy winced as some goo fell in his hair. ├óÔé¼┼ôYou are lucky you are your father's son.├óÔé¼┬Ø

├óÔé¼┼ôCan...do you have a link to him?├óÔé¼┬Ø

├óÔé¼┼ôUnfortunately...no, not a real time one,├óÔé¼┬Ø Henry sighed again. Jimmy ducked away and avoided getting splashed. ├óÔé¼┼ôHe left a Message telling you to stay here.├óÔé¼┬Ø

├óÔé¼┼ôAnd where is here?├óÔé¼┬Ø Jimmy asked, looking around.

├óÔé¼┼ôI've already told you. Tinsel Townie, middle layers. This is one of the two Neutral territories in this area.├óÔé¼┬Ø

├óÔé¼┼ôWhat do you mean?├óÔé¼┬Ø

├óÔé¼┼ôThis is Yetel territory, the forests. But each Townie needs many races to function, so I took up position here. And I'm also a pacifist.├óÔé¼┬Ø

├óÔé¼┼ôI don't follow,├óÔé¼┬Ø Jimmy said. The female nurse handed him a fresh shirt, which he slid on over his head.

├óÔé¼┼ôI oppose the war against the Yetel. And so I work here, surrounded by them. I hope the message will sink in eventually.├óÔé¼┬Ø

├óÔé¼┼ôSo do I,├óÔé¼┬Ø Jimmy said, scratching himself under the arm pit. ├óÔé¼┼ôSay, do you know what the Forget is?├óÔé¼┬Ø

├óÔé¼┼ôNo, I do not,├óÔé¼┬Ø Henry said. ├óÔé¼┼ôIf you wish to leave, Mrs. Netters will show you to the door.├óÔé¼┬Ø

├óÔé¼┼ôThanks,├óÔé¼┬Ø Jimmy said. Henry shrugged, his entire body curling into a U, then folding back to it's normal slug shape.

Mrs. Netters showed Jimmy to the door, leading him through the hallways of the hospital. It was very white, very clean and very sterile. Most of the doors were closed, but those that were opened showed aliens laying in various beds, many of them Yetel. Most looked to be wounded in one way or another.

├óÔé¼┼ôIf you need anything, simply ask the Center of Tourism,├óÔé¼┬Ø Mrs. Netters said, holding the door open for Jimmy. ├óÔé¼┼ôSay...you look a bit young to be out and about in Harbinger.├óÔé¼┬Ø

├óÔé¼┼ôI...started early,├óÔé¼┬Ø Jimmy said. A thought occurred. ├óÔé¼┼ôSay, did I come in with any belongings? A bag, or anything.├óÔé¼┬Ø

├óÔé¼┼ôIf you did, it would be at the Center of Tourism,├óÔé¼┬Ø Mrs. Netters bowed her head. ├óÔé¼┼ôHave a nice day, Mr. Leonite.├óÔé¼┬Ø

The door closed and Jimmy turned away, getting his first look at the middle levels. He gasped, jaw dropping. Tinsel Townie was not nearly as jam packed as it was on the first level, but it was still a sprawling metropolis that made Jimmy's head hurt. Intellectually, he knew that the Townie wasn't as big as his home city. But his home city was spread over a wider area, squeezed in trash compactors and hallways, with only one large hollowed out area near the center. This Townie, however, had the entire Arboreal Room to itself, other than the Yetel settlements.

And then there was the tree's that filled the Arboreal Room. Each was a florid pink, orange trunked, and they clustered so thick around the Townie that they pressed up against some buildings. The wind picked up suddenly and Jimmy saw a cloud of leaves billow across the Townie, filling the air like smoke. He shivered, starting to walk towards the Center of Tourism.

And fifty miles away, Pix shivered as well. Her arms were sore. Her wrists were sore. And she was getting angrier and angrier each step. Hir stopped suddenly as the sun lamp's above them started to dim.

├óÔé¼┼ôNight will fall soon,├óÔé¼┬Ø He said, holstering his pistol. He unlatched one of Pix's hand cuffs. Hope flared in her...till Hir attached the other cuff to his own wrist. The cuff expanded slightly to fit around his larger wrist and Hir looked back to Pix. She sighed.

├óÔé¼┼ôWe will move out in the morning, before dawn. It is a good idea that you sleep. It is a long way to the Forget.├óÔé¼┬Ø

Pix sighed, sitting down. Her arm, still latched to the hand cuff, hung in the air. Pix sighed again. A moment later, Hir sat down as well. He lay down with a thump, curling up. He didn't notice, or care, that his posture dragged Pix into an uncomfortable sitting position, her back pressed against him and her arm draped over his shoulders. Pix sighed and closed her eyes. She concentrated on snoring as loud as possible.

Jimmy entered the Center of Tourism. It was a circular structure, with a column in the middle of the main chambers, surrounded by a circular desk. Every few feet, another person sat behind the desk. Five out of eight of the people had long lines in front of them. Jimmy looked around till he saw the person with the title: LOST AND FOUND

He walked up to that line, which was relatively short. A moment later he was at the front of the line, looking at a short Tettclickclick.

/Here you are\ The Tettclickclick handed Jimmy's bag to him.

├óÔé¼┼ôBut I didn't-├óÔé¼┬Ø

/Laughter. Leonite, you haven't spoke with a member of the Holy Race before, have you?\

├óÔé¼┼ôUh, no.├óÔé¼┬Ø Jimmy wondered how the Tettclickclick was talking. It's body was humanoid, in basic shape, with two incredibly thin legs and a eye less, mouthless face. In fact, the head looked like it had been left underwater for too long, leaving nothing but wrinkles and white flesh.

/We commune with the Goddess and lesser races telepathy\

├óÔé¼┼ôOh,├óÔé¼┬Ø Jimmy said, sliding his bag onto his back. ├óÔé¼┼ôNeat.├óÔé¼┬Ø

The Tettclickclick bowed it's head and Jimmy walked out of line. When he exited the Center of Tourism and found that night had fallen. He took a step into the street, trying to think of what to do next. He'd have to find a hotel, but he had no money...and Pix...

Jimmy sniffled. RING! Jimmy jumped, almost dropping his pack. Something was ringing inside of it. He opened the pack and pulled out a wire thin headset, with two spheres that were supposed to be slipped into one's ears. A phone. Jimmy let the phone settle into his hair, sticking the spheres into his ears. The phone stopped rining and a strange voice spoke.

├óÔé¼┼ôHello. You have to act quickly if you wish to catch up with you're friend.├óÔé¼┬Ø

├óÔé¼┼ôWho is this?├óÔé¼┬Ø Jimmy asked, looking around.

A pause. ├óÔé¼┼ôFox.├óÔé¼┬Ø

Jimmy furrowed his brow. Then he remembered. ├óÔé¼┼ôOh...you. What should I do?├óÔé¼┬Ø

├óÔé¼┼ôPix is fifty miles East of your position. You have no chance of reaching her before she is taken to the Forget. I suggest you press on to Tortuga. Once Pix emerges from the Forget, you could intercept her on the way to the Slor Stronghold in the Armory. From there...the future is fluid.├óÔé¼┬Ø

├óÔé¼┼ôOkay...but first, what the tube is the Forget?├óÔé¼┬Ø

├óÔé¼┼ôIt is an area that runs the left side of Harbinger. It's an area where most of the races that live there have forgotten where they are, and where they came from. They believe this ship is the world.├óÔé¼┬Ø

├óÔé¼┼ôIt is a world,├óÔé¼┬Ø Jimmy said.

├óÔé¼┼ôBut of course. But these Forgetters think that this is the only world. Anything else is blasphemy. The Forgetters fight back if anyone enters their area.├óÔé¼┬Ø

├óÔé¼┼ôWell...why haven't they been destroyed?├óÔé¼┬Ø Jimmy asked, starting to walk down the street and towards the gate of the Townie.

├óÔé¼┼ôThe only weapons we can use in the Forget are low tech, for anything above basic gunpowder has a chance of causing a blow out.├óÔé¼┬Ø

├óÔé¼┼ôWhat...what is a blow out?├óÔé¼┬Ø

├óÔé¼┼ôSomething you do not want to find out about. Now head to the Armory. I will direct you from there.├óÔé¼┬Ø

Jimmy nodded. Then something occurred to him. He opened his pack and looked inside. The gun was gone. He sighed. ├óÔé¼┼ôI might need weapons at the Armory.├óÔé¼┬Ø

Fox laughed. ├óÔé¼┼ôJames, it's an Armory. There is an abundace of weapons. You simply have to find one that you can conceil on your person.├óÔé¼┬Ø

Jimmy nodded.

├óÔé¼┼ôI must warn you, though, there is one thing in the Armory you have to avoid at all costs. It is called the Slayer. You'll know what it is when you see the eyeless corpses.├óÔé¼┬Ø

├óÔé¼┼ôYou gotta tell me more than that!├óÔé¼┬Ø Jimmy squeaked, his heart sizing up. Eyeless corpses!

There was nothing on the other end of the line.

├óÔé¼┼ôFox? Fox!├óÔé¼┬Ø Jimmy slid the phone off his head and slid it back into his pack. ├óÔé¼┼ôSewage.├óÔé¼┬Ø

He realized he had reached the gate. He looked up at the Yetel who was watching the outside of the gate, his wings flapping once every few moments.

├óÔé¼┼ôHey!├óÔé¼┬Ø Jimmy shouted. ├óÔé¼┼ôCould you open this gate here?├óÔé¼┬Ø

The Yetel looked over his shoulder. ├óÔé¼┼ôCan I do!├óÔé¼┬Ø he said, his grammar bad but his enthusiasm great. The gate swung open and Jimmy walked into the forest. Even though it was night time, he still felt better than he ever had. Behind him the gate closed and Jimmy set out.

It was dawn before he knew it. Jimmy blinked and realized he was getting sleepy. He looked around, but the entire forest was starting to look the same, aside from the occasional sign posts that dotted the place. Jimmy had been following them, and the number that showed how many miles were left in the rout were getting lower every sign.

There was another sign! Jimmy grinned, seeing that the mile count was down to five. He had made great time, such great time that Jimmy was sure that if he had gone straight after Pix, he'd have caught up with her by now.

Actually, he was wrong. An hour before dawn, Pix woke up when Hir stood, jerking her to her feet with his hand. ├óÔé¼┼ôCome on,├óÔé¼┬Ø He said. Pix blinked herself awake as Hir unlatched the cuff from around her wrist and around Pix's other wrist. She sighed, cricking her neck.

├óÔé¼┼ôWalk,├óÔé¼┬Ø Hir said, pushing her with one hand. Pix started walking. After an hour and a half of walking, the forest ended suddenly. The ceiling tilted harpy down and ended with a blank gray surface. Hir and Pix walked down the wall, Hir looking for something that Pix could care less about. Finally they came to a door set in the wall. It had been covered by what looked like stretched skin. Pix shivered. That was...human skin. On it was scrawled, in blood, a symbol that any race could recognize. A skull.

├óÔé¼┼ôThis is the Forget,├óÔé¼┬Ø Hir said, pulling the skin aside. ├óÔé¼┼ôBe on your guard. There are worse things in here than me.├óÔé¼┬Ø

├óÔé¼┼ôYou know,├óÔé¼┬Ø Pix said, her throat dry. ├óÔé¼┼ôI think you may be right.├óÔé¼┬Ø

It's still chapter 3, obviously. A post != a chapter. A chapter is, usually, more than 5-7 pages. Unless your Faulkner and have a chapter consisting of "I think my mother is a fish" and nothing else. Seriously...shortest chapter of a book I've ever seen.

And, due to plot reasons, the Chapter "Fun With Gravity" has been moved to slot Five, Four being taken by "Tortuga"

So far, the table of contents are Chapter One: Earth, Chapter Two: Ocean, Chapter Three: Captured, Chaputer Four: Tortuga, Chapter Five: Fun with Gravity and so on and so forth.
