Picasso, just crank up the brightness on your maps so that *everyone* can play it. That and dont use so much dead black everywhere.

You're just killing off a quarter of your fanbase by refusing to increase brightness prolly >_<

But not Dark is not Gigger - and I could turn brightness & bump on in the Renderer to give it a more orange lit light look - but that would byte with the Coold blue stroke in the Terrain and with some of the Light fields. I know that this Map is maybee even scaring of those who dl Yilith. But it`s really hard to make a AlienmoviestyleMap- without annoying those who see it already over-iluminated. I am sorry Dragon - i can try a bright Version - i will puplish a Screenshot tomorrow. Until then i got other Wor to attend.

I dunno whats wrong with you people, the brightness is just fine on this map, I can see everything.
Either get a moniter that isnt crap, or use the Omega drivers to crank up the brightness on your computer, any more brightness on this map and it'll look like shit for normal people.
But there are many other things wrong with this map...tbh its not that great right now.

-You NEED to have a diffrent texture for slopes, walls, and flat plains. I can barely tell how steep anything is without using F1.
http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y138/L ... sxeno5.jpg

-The fact is, youve created a "take center=wn" map. The middle alone gives over a whopping 20 metal with mexes alone.
http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y138/L ... sxeno4.jpg

-Did you intend for vechs to be useless? Cause they cant reach the middle, at all.
http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y138/L ... sxeno3.jpg

-For kbots, the corner slopes a useless. They can climb up and down the verticle walls.
http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y138/L ... sxeno1.jpg

-Also, im not sure if this is somthing you can fix, but when I zoom out to max, the skybox turns all grey.
http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y138/L ... sxeno2.jpg

-The bottom of the skybox still looks like easter christmas light land...I dont like it.

-The metal patchs give out way to much. I mean, The small ones give out 3 and the big ones give out 5. You can get 20+ metal by simply porcing on 10% of the map.

Yah...this map needs some major fixing. But it has great potential. Very great.

Learn to retouch images in Photoshop. Gamma & Exposure is your friend. And yes, it's too dark.

True, Giger is dark, but did you notice that you can actually see what's on his pictures? Use some bright parts man. Conturs are your friend.

Will do new Version with Reduced Lights in the Skybox down
- The middle was intended Metall heavy, but unable to hold because of Artillery from all Sides (It is a CenterRushTrap)

-The K-Bot Problem is not intended - But i will rework this with the Type Map.
- I will render the Texture again, with more (Blue?) Light and some BumpMaps that give more detail to the Slopes
-Vehicles were intended not to reach the Center

So wait with dl till Version 2 is out, thx for the constructive Replys.

A good monitor costs way more than that. More like 250$-300$.

Better Dragon ? Or more Light ?

And nothing can hurt ones Pride more, then showing jeaulousy in Puplic. I don`t have a Great PC either, but it`s enough to work and write with. What can have influence on your Gama is also were you play - if you play in a backyard-flat without a window in your room, or in a cellar (wich needs low gama in Games) - theny many Maps will be overbright for you.
If you have a Window behind you, the sun shinning trough - you can raise the Gama to highest level and you still won`t see anything. So Dragon - weres your Lair ?

Hmmm Its night, as I type this, the room is dark and I still cannot make any sence of that last screenshot, "the large version" your monitor must be exceptionally bright.

Forgive the liberty but this is bright enough to see but still dark enough not to loose the Giger feel, and it took about six seconds in photoshop.

Most Trippy was Oberon Etoreth- i was nearly.... nn...ee...ar to those Green Maps everybody desires. And of course failed completely. Thats my Way of hiding lack of skill - staying Trippy, therefore uncompared ;)

I will brightness it in PS- and put in something to show were the Metall for the Battle is.

ARGHl.... selfiluminated Texture on the Screen, in the Map- 3 hours Rendering go to helll.... argll..

I like your plan of staying trippy. I mean if you didn't make trippy, weird as all hell maps, who would?

and i will keep the Skybox- even if it lacks a blue Sun. I am currently uploading a new Version to yousendit - and it is because there are no longer black tiles - 5 Mbs bigger. If i can get those who don`t see a thing, to fight those who dl a thing (bigger then 20 Mb) i`m out of the worst.

PS: The BumpMap for the Middle worked now... and a mex in the Middle brings now 6.2
Base is 3.2 2.9

Here is the new File: Everything Changed except the Skybox...

Would be happy for a Replayupload... thx
