Yes you do, you agree to a document saying that you follow our rules whatever they may be if you expect to connect to games through our server. Feel free to start a new lobby server where you don't need to deal with us moderators keeping the community clean and friendly. It's very easy to do.

This particular part of our policy may change when we have host definable bad lists implemented, but for the time being we are not allowing players the option of ruining games intentionally for other players with no repercussions. I agree with Noize, in game actions should not have to be dealt with by us, but the situation we have that doesn't allow host side bans makes is necessary.

I really don't think there is anything you can do about it. If a "team killer" should be banned then i think the game host should be the one to do it and not a moderater banning them from spring. I really don't think many people will team kill over and over for the sole purpose of ruining everyone elses fun anyway. Zerg probaly did it for a quick laugh.

You really don't know if someone is going to teamkill or not especially if they're a "smurf", but come on guys you shouldn't take the game that seriously to let it get to you.

P.S don't ban zergzerglol.

1) Hosts can't ban. As you would have found out had you read the thread.

2) I get the impression that you sympathize with Zerg and others who play to ruin the game.

1) When I go into a game of Spring, I expect to play Spring the way it is intended to be played. I am willing to bet that most others are the same way. To invest an hour in a game of Spring playing the way it is meant to be played, only to have an ally nuke your base, is really annoying. Really annoying. People who do this do more harm to Spring than people who spam six lines of text in the lobby - but which one gets banned?

P.S don't ban zergzerglol.
1) Why not?

Banning zergzerglol wont solve the problem. I'll just loose another friend who is on the internet.

How will not allowing the source of the problem to continue to be a problem not solve the problem? If you want to ruin someone else's day go somewhere else. In spring that's banworthy.

I think the problem here is people team killing in games, if it was what zergzerglol did in those few games then a ban may stop him doing it again but i think it's a bit over the top for something like this.

Fortunately it doesn't matter what you think.

You're absolutely right, banning a "teamkiller" would stop him from "teamkilling" in games. At least in the main lobby, if he wants to host his own "teamkill" lobby server with his "teamkilling" friends, that would be fine with me.

Why not just have a "report" somebody thing, 15 reports and they are temp-banned for a week or something....

Would make it easier to deal with jerks....

And you can only do it to one person once, to prevent people from banning other users for no reason....

this is probaly more on the right track, zergzerglol is a constant team killer.

oops i meant is NOT a constant team killer.

I'm not really defending zergzerglol, i'm saying banning someone from the lobby just for teamkilling is overkill.

Maybe permaban, yes. But a 24-hour "Sorry, but you were a moron" ban is more acceptable.

Maybe not the part in quotes.

A ban wouldn't really help. He'd just get a new IP and come back under a new nickname. At least now we know where we have him and can exclude him from our games. Don't expect kids like him to actually *learn* something from a ban, he'll just take it as an encouragement to be even more lame.

That's like saying that we shouldn't put rapists in prison, we should just make it general knowledge that the person is a rapist.

Just because you may choose to (illegally) circumvent your punishment doesn't mean that a punishment shouldn't be made for wrongdoings.

Raping is a -snip-load worse than attacking teammates in a game. Those things are in no way comparable.

I think he should be punished, but that is a very bad analogy.
