I cant spell anyway mate...

Also.. I'd love to help out in this. Would I be atleast right in thinking, seeing as there will only be 1 unit for each of the charachter races, would it not be quite cool to let people make up a character each, with there own stats extra, and then pool them together and adjust them for ballance. That way you'll get more variation in looks, abilities of teh characters ect... + while I wont obviosly take somthing from ZET, I would like to help out with this. Plus, even if people cant make the characters, they can submit the idea so it can be made by other people.

But with those goggle eye's you should be able to staple a spell checker to the top of your monitor.

Then when they complete there semi 360 degree circuit, they will see the spell checker and be able to check your spelling.

You could always make metal into ammo. Have ammo boxes scattered across the map, which humans have to reclaim to reload, and into which zombies can break to try and reduce the human's weaponry (after all, humans have ranged, and rapid fire weapons, zombies have to get in close to fight. Even SWARMING the other side, zombies are at a disadvantage...

That is a good idea. But call them Munition Supplie Crates. Sounds cooler.

Also i think that there should be a fast surviver, strong surviver, and tough surviver. Fast surviver has a sniper rifle and can run really fast, but has poor ammo. Strong surviver is slower, dosnt have much health, but has a nice lether jaket. And a minigun and a huge amount of ammo.

Tough hero is the unstopable hero, the slowest hero with the best helth, but a simple rifle that fires a quick three round burst. They have better ammo holding then Fast hero's, but worse ammo then Strong Heros.

here is a helpfull graph
Wepon, Helth, Ammo, Speed
Strong: Minigun Medium LOTS! medium
Fast: Sniper little little LOTS
Tough: Rifle LOTS! medium little.

Also a Sniper rifle is really long ranged, the bullets go really fast and in a straight line (possible laser like?) makeing a FPSers job easyer. Unfortunantly it useus a LOT of ammo each shot.

A minigun has a short range, but can blow hords apart like...well...a lot! They have a HUGE amount of ammo so they can litteraly walk INTO the hord of zombies. However they have short range, meaning they have to plan there attacks. They also can't relie on their helth, like a tough hero, or on there speed, like a Tough hero. So they have to use the minigun. The tough heros is great for slugging it out over a LONG period of time. They have medium amounts of ammo, medium amounts of range. There guns fire three bullets each trigger pull, and spreads a bit. But they will take a LOT of hits. A LOT OF HITS and keep on ticking!

Just my 2 cents.

The whole point is that sharemetal would therefore be useful as it would suggest sharing of ammo XD

Shareenergy would be odd....

I'm putting together a concept game of this style of play right now, if it turns out well I'll see if I can help with this theme.

I highly recommend that every player has their own character.

Miniguns are unrealistic, so a machinegun would be more realistic like the M249 SAW or M60 GPMG.

I do love the idea though, but perhaps zombies can be AI's too so the players can focus on team work.

The little concept I made is just that - each player controls a single unit (with one exception - you'll see) and they're all made to be easy to control - one weapon on attack, another on dgun, some have powerful reclaim abilities that can be used as a weapon, another has a shield and a stockpile-shot, ect.

I'll see if I can finish it today and upload it for anyone who's interested in seeing how it works.

Okay... I never understood the whole "using guns on zombies" thing... criket bats all the way... you totally need to give some of your meat-civs cricket bats and have them have a chance of killing a weaker zombie if they happen to end up 1 on 1 with them...

ANIMAL MOTHER!!!! ANIMAL MOTHER!

Who also appeared as Jayn in Firefly, the kickawsome western...in SPACE! He had a M-60, which was indeed a totally cool gun. He always has the coolest gun in whatever he is in! In firefly he had Vera, one of the best assault rifles I've ever seen!

Oh and a mini gun is totally awesome. Anyone remember T2: Judgment day? THAT GUN WAS AWSOME!. Oh and i just thought of the entire D-gun secondary weapon idea. I think a fast hero would have a silenced short range Uzi, that would fire a quick burt to hold of the zombie's for a quick escape. The strong hero would have a grenade launcer for clearing out large crouds fast! and the Tough hero would have a
FLAME THROWER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh and each secondary wepon would use more ammo then the regular wepons. But think of HOW COOL THOSE FLAMETHROWERS WOULD BE!

If the game is going to be played in fps then the fps system needs to be improved a little.

Not mod specific - Movement controls need to be static arrow keys with move forward and move left and backwards not relative keys where you have move forward and turn.

Mod Specific - Jumping would be nice, it would add so much more to the mod to be able to jump over small features or walls or bodies.

Mod specific - The aiming in the zombie mod would need to have the restrictions lifted so you could fire in any direction even at allies or trees like you could a few versions ago.

Mod specific - Hit location damage and death animations would be cool too.
