The second battlestar galactica, the first episodes didnt caugth my eye, but after i went watching episode after episode, it caugth me in a weird way to the caracters.

The story didnt captivate me, since ive seen the first series, its so diferent, the first resembles startreck/scifi adventure setup, the second is a drama like scifi show. I enjoyed the ending when all splited up to live theyr lives in a calm way, i disliked a bit the way they portrayed the cicle of men creates machine and turns it into his image, machine rebels, everything gets destroyed, then men rebuilds society.

Until the cicle is broken, by the aceptance of the union between machine and men.

Was overall a good series for the latest years, its better than the first i think, something more compelling and without that comedy sence stargate has

Recently I like two prequels: "Caprica" (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0799862/) and "Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles" (http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0851851/). Both got canceled after the first season.

My guess why that happened is one of the reasons I liked them: They don't deliver happy endings, their overall mood is dark and heavy with a glooming, unavoidable faith: exodus.

I've quit along the way.. it was good none the less

Blade Runner is not the super brilliant scifi masterpiece, instead, like you said, it is a futuristic detective story with good actors

If there is a scifi master piece out there then it is Mystery Science Theater 3000 (the movie). Seriously, I've seen this film more than ten times by now and still get to chuckle every time.

I totally ignored picasso the other day when I saw him posting this in lobby-chat (sorry, I was probably busy... ignoring someone else or something ), but I think he was totally right.

I only got around to read the graphic novel version, but I'm am kinda looking forward to how this turned out non the less.

Alien 3, worst one in the frenchise.
Solaris was a horrible remake and a mediocre film on its own.

Actually found Alien 3 good.. though i enjoyed Alien 2 due to camerons superior movie making abilitys, he never understood what alien was all about- actually most of the franchise takers didnt get it.

It was never about showing, it was about guessing, fearing till it got to you. If the aliensaga would have something to continue- it would be a )
a detective story in a closed room scenario (who is infested)
b) alien mimircy of humans
or
c) i dont know, just not more military scifi.. though the marines got slaughtered - they robbed the aliens of there iconografic fearsomness..

I guess it's just very hard to make good sci fi series or, scifi in general.
