LOL I actually stated by distaste for everyone speaking in their own tongue so I decided to do it too to proof my point ;)

I prefer to speak english and considder it to be my primary language now since my wife speaks english.

try to translate the result another time and you can t reach the first sens of your text in babel !(it s ridicouls)

Emmanuel, si tu fais des unit├â┬®s pour TA et non pour Spring, alors va poster dans un forum TA! Tel que:

Paske si tu poses tes question dans un forum Spring, les gens vont te donner des solutions Spring, tels que le tag hightrajectory, qui ne marcheront pas dans TA! Ou alors ils croiront que tu demandes qu'on te programme des nouvelles fonctionnalit├â┬®s dans Spring, alors que tu n'utilises m├â┬¬me pas Spring.


Emmanuel, if you're making units for TA and not for Spring, then go post in a TA forum! Such as:

(Looks for "unit design" subforums or similar)

Because if you ask in Spring forum, sure people will give you solution for Spring, such as the hightrajectory tag, that will not work in TA. Or they'll think you want new feature in the Spring engine, while you're not even using the Spring engine!

Actually, all problems with weapons come from separated weapon classes. In TA, everything was possible with weapon hacks. If Spring gets weapon classes unified, so that only the weapon parameters define what the weapon does, we will be able to make any weapons we need. (smoking ballistic bombs, torpedoes that bounce on ground and propel themselves in water, guided bullets, etc) I wanted to make something like that some time ago, but the source has now changed, and moreover - the source isn't up to date with the latest version! I could try to do something about this, if at least the source was up to date. I could also add some features I've been planning on (directed-fire weapons, script-stopping units, zero burst mode, etc).

Uhm, what emmanuel said actually sounded pretty interesting. Now, my french isn't very good, so could anyone please give a small summary of his problem? Just so everyone can think about it... :)

I checked out the source, but I need a compiler that will work with me, I forgot which compiler to get exactly and what to download for it...

I'm having freaky problems with inet at home, so even if I knew how to use cvs, I wouldn't be able to download anything from there.

The biggest problem I am having with Ballistic weapons is the Plasma bitmap, can't change it, same for bombs, just FYI.

Si TA ne te satisfait pas, tu peux tjrs retourner jouer à Starcraft.
