Re: TASClient features request request
small request:
button for switching between predefinied names (e.g. [CoW]Manolo and [lol]....) to make it easier to play as lol account (also set the reg. to the latest used login)

also, make it automatically kill itself when it decides to randomly use 100% cpu when a game is running so i dont randomly lag out, or just make this stop happening. Otherwise I have to use spring lobby..
Re: TASClient features request request
I have never experienced 100% cpu issues, but It does crash from time to time when changing the map or when when clicking the minimap. This, however, is not a frequent occurrence for me. This might be a long shot, but possibly add stacktraces to TASClient so we can better report crashes?
On an unrelated note, could you please add a feature that parses infolog.txt on return from game to see if spring has crashed and have it auto upload or ask to upload the whole infolog? This could aid developers in having a near complete crash repository and would let bugs surface much faster while showing the most problematic areas in the code.

Re: TASClient features request request
tasclient has an exception handler showing stacktrace afaik if you don't see it and tasclient closes itself with no message it means it hasn't been catched, it might be a problem with unitsync, i don't see anything else ... and it always happen when changing map (ie loading minimaps)Beherith wrote:I have never experienced 100% cpu issues, but It does crash from time to time when changing the map or when when clicking the minimap. for the infolog crash auto upload, tasclient has between 20 and 25% of spring users ... most of them are old spring players, plus it would need a server side system to report them ... and i don't wanna make it
Re: TASClient features request request
never experienced such a thing too ... if you want me to fix it you need to define "randomly", is it really random ? or is it regular ? does it always happen while ingame ? etc etcd_b wrote:Epic Win! XDmanolo_ wrote:small request:

are you actually asking an easy smurf toggle button?manolo_ wrote:small request:

Re: TASClient features request request
yes and i don't like smurfs so i won't add itBrain Damage wrote:are you actually asking an easy smurf toggle button?manolo_ wrote:small request:

Re: TASClient features request request
No silly, a quick rename button. Many of us are in multiple clans, especially people in the [lol] clan because we are an underground army trying to fight injustice.Satirik wrote:yes and i don't like smurfs so i won't add itBrain Damage wrote:are you actually asking an easy smurf toggle button?manolo_ wrote:small request:

Re: TASClient features request request
I would like a "find the smurf" button, that automagically checks all IP addresses of users attempting to enter my game, and gives me their past names (stored on a local database, ofc)

Re: TASClient features request request
Clans have nothing to do with nickname. Clans in the nickname is a flaw in lobby server. As people don't want current server protocol to be changed, ask Aegis if he would mind release his lobby server with smart clan support.manolo_ wrote:No silly, a quick rename button. Re: TASClient features request request
Um, sure, but this is groundless as the current LACK of clan support means we need clantags and we need renames, so my feature request is still valid.Masure wrote:Clans have nothing to do with nickname. Re: TASClient features request request
Coding workarounds on shitty design is fail.
Solutions :
1) Ask aegis to release uberserver faster
2) Try to script quick rename in python as TASClient has python interface.

Re: TASClient features request request
No really, why is this a "workaround"? Its just the way the system works. Good idea on scripting though. I wish i could make a negative comment to combat your expletives but meh, you are right i guess.Masure wrote:Coding workarounds on shitty design is fail.

Re: TASClient features request request
well, you can right click to open the logs and search using your favorite text editor, so im not sure a search function is neededRaghna wrote:A search option for the channels, like to search i #main when someone said something, would be great thanks!
Re: TASClient features request request
I think you should dismiss all further requests and say they can be done with scripting. This is fun XDSatirik wrote:well, you can right click to open the logs and search using your favorite text editor, so im not sure a search function is neededRaghna wrote:A search option for the channels, like to search i #main when someone said something, would be great thanks!
