I have only seen this in action once or twice (well, except for killing off the last com when one side has already won).

On the other hand, I have seen many players giving up because of air spam induced lag or super low FPS. This can be a winning strategy if you have patience and a strong PC, but is utterly boring.

If you land fighters inside the enemy's base they will rapid-fire at his structures, killing them more quickly.
