Problems with manual toggle:

On non-dgun mode it's no better than current manual control

On dgun mode it can be easily exploited by using scout units to take all your energy before the main tank swarm comes in.

That's why you can toggle it, so you switch back to laser when you're being scout swarmed.

But then you are manually controlling it anyway and the widget doesnt help u. If you are not manually controlling it, you wont be able to get to your com and turn it off before he's wasted a few shots / all your E.
