Not really. Try to make 80000 divs on one page, and your firefox will render it 30 minutes (TESTED!!!!). oh and IE rendered that same page in 10 seconds.neddiedrow wrote:DIVs work much better on browsers other than IE.

oh right you were moaning about the number of divs not the lack of them right
there arent enough to make it real isue, the file view pages are getting paginated as soon as i finish group stuff.
however the reason IE renders divs faster is because it does them wrong, using position and float in the style tags is deadly for nested divs in IE, the same page will work in opera and FF fine.

Actually i was moaning about the inline CSS and those divs inside TR and TD elements.
That page is like 600kB big and loads fucking slow. i think its cause of those divs, they always slow down everything...
Oh wait, its not about DIV's its about XHTML. XHTML pages seems ALL be fucking slow to load, i dont know why, but always when i see slow loading pages like that, they are XHTML pure ownage made o_O Or then its something else, and its just coincidence...

(ps my svn version has changed the tables to your css ill upload it soon)
What are those divs still doing there
?...
Code: Select all
</div></div><div id="c48_ctl" style="display:inline;"><div id="c48" >
You can post your div bitching on the qcodo forum! http://qcodo.com/forums/ , that's where they come from..
Well I think I developed most of it locally, so it might be around here some where, but every now and again it needed a small fix up. Many, many small fix ups later, the site is completely different
Oh well, the site was actually quite badly written in places. Having the chance to rewrite it will be good for it. Plus with the new replay format possibly coming out in the future, making the system more flexible now will make the transition later easier.
