Bana, thanks but the responses I'm getting are actually incredibly useful. Its better to fix this kind of stuff now before its too late.

Floating Hovercraft plant. Simple edit I know, but thats why the land version is designed the way it is.

I think you could have a bigger structure above water and when the ship is done, it folds down and the ship can leave in all directions.

for me the original shipyards always looked like some floating pylons held in positions with some chains or something? Which seems kinda silly, ie you bomb the middle of a shipyard and it takes damage etc.

problem is, if u want to just replace models, or make new models, new scripts, new animation, new effects, etc etc. Caldera is only one and he wont be pleased to script 350 units from scratch :P

The problem I always had with BA shipyards is trouble getting the units out the lab when you have so many cons trying to assist the building of it. Imo, make it like a veh lab or w/e and give units only one exit.

I really like the way you differentiated t1 and t2 shipyards. I think you were going to add this later, but i'm just going to say it. I want railings connecting the nanos. Also, I think it would be a great touch to add some railings or stuff above the water, above the ships, so long as the ships don't like knock into them. Also, I don't think you need that huge rectangular plate under the whole hover platforms - imo just the small plate should be fine.

Tbh, Shipyards are bad. You cant really see the difference between t1 and t2 yards. Imo you could make somekinda railings or platforms (possibly underwater) around it or something.

Hovercraft plant is excellent but I would get rid of the big lowest platform under it and make it just invisible showing a ground texture or water underneath.

Ok I'm getting mixed signals here. Do we want railings or no railings?

Seeing as everyone wants different things, I'll experiment a bit with it and see what happens.

Its going to be a grate texture with transparent holes.

Also guys, being the holidays and all, I'm am going to be gone for a couple of days. So, don't freak out when you stop seeing WIP images.

Well I just got back from my latest venture, and I have presents.

Added some railings to the shipyards.

Very nice. Perhaps you could animate them so the middle part opens up once the ship is done?

Great model, but IMO doesn't seem angular enough for core.
