Not for a little while yet, we've got a mountain of work to get through too, and I'm personally heading into uni, and Supreme Commander has just come out, so my work level is likely to drop a bit soon.

Around 1100, IIRC. Which is more then I wanted, but with a unit like this, it is difficult to cut it down (the version you're looking at was before it was optimised), as it has a few moving pieces, and other well-known detail. Deka's aren't meant to be spammed in huge amounts, so I don't think this is too bad a result.

I rarely look at the first page of these threads, for the most part.
I suppose I could update it to show all the latest images, if that's what people would like.

wow, that has to be in side cannon I cannot imagine it in the movies.

*edit* I know gundam has some really silly designs also but it is fun to lol at some designs. No offense guys just laughing at the people who designed it originally. I of all people know what it is like to have ridiculous designs in one's cannon.

*edit* foot in mouth, Why did you guys change the design? I like the design it had. The old version was more reflective of that design.

That is the T2-B attack tank. The model shown is the god awful one from Force Commander.

We are using this one, which was designed recently for Empire at War

This design, in particular, allows 360 degree turret rotation, and generally allows this tank to be a little more 'brainless' in it's usage. Previously the attack tank required quite a bit of babysitting to work well due to it's fire arcs.

AH that is what it is ok. I see what you did thar. The little top turret kinda looked like a head.

After I saw this unit I was lookking through the unit list and I wanted to ask: The hover e-web, does that replace the old e-web or is it a second unit? I was a big fan of the old unit.

We're probably going to revise the tank a little bit and make it a little less anime-ish.

The eweb is being entirely replaced by the hover variant.

The rebels, however, will likely keep their mobile version of the eweb, though we might give that unit a slightly smaller arms weapon. If you can imagine that the rebel has the Medium Repeater Blaster, which is like a parallel with the WWII vicker's machine gun, we'd probably replace it with something a bit lighter, like a MG42. Something which a person can more realistically move around the battlefield with.

I am sad to see the eweb go, I just wanna say that I am against this minor change. That is all really, past that I can get over it :P. I liked the unit and am not too happy with the hover thing but I can always no longer build it and opt for something else.

The E-Web as it was was a bit ridiculous, though. Canon shows it with a huge, heavy powerpack and a giant cable- not a mobile weapon at all. I think making it actually feel mobile in a way that the technology of Star Wars would allow for makes much more sense than having a gun magically unfold from nothing, myself. That kind of thing from SWTA just totally destroys my suspension of disbelief, frankly. That, and the darn thing had all sorts of serious scripting problems, if you ever played the mod. Better all around to take a fresh approach.

That said, there may be a better design for the totality that feels a little less rushed.

well, the platform seems a bit thin, I have to agrea argh it did seem a bit rushed. I am not sure though. I was thinking a sort of floating platform, maybe circular that can rotate mid air so it can fire at all angles. I am sure they will come up with something.

I quite liked the old eweb too, but for the moment the solution is functional. We can always rework it later.

Note updated tank image.

At least it existed somewhere.

Appears to be somewhat lighter than the E-Web.
