I gotta disagree with the rest of these guys about the texture, I think its very nice, especially considering how complicated the model itself is. That must have taken quite a while to texture.

I disagree (politely) with you Kaine, the texture feels too 'noisy' (although it is VERY good)

Why cant it be used??

That's simple - when looking at that armament it definitely will cost way more than a Krogoth which already is seen very rarely. That's why for most TA mods it currently isn't a good idea...

That's also why it won't make it into MA (T3 tanks will be way different from T3 Mechs anyway and with that said there is no tank planned that will even be anywhere near a Bantha strength at all). It might be worth a look for LLTA Reloaded though which has units of this kind...

O_O
So much coms ! lol
Thx :-)

First, when I did it, I've imagined like a "solo campaign" mode. Like your mission starts with some units to explore a map... You find that huge vehicule and it destroy all your units.
So your Capitain send you lots of units, a commader and lots of ressources and you have like 30min to kill it, if not, the behemot will be in position to shoot like main base of your side with the big berthas :D
That's why he is overarmed, I've always units like Krogoth etc... :)
It could be very fun I think and I don't think it's impossible to do (Solo campaign are "the" missing stuff in the Spring game in my mind )

@ Otherside: thx =)

@ Warlord Zsinj : Thx for the usefull comments :)
Yes you'r true, the metal is looking ugly ^^
Maybe I can try to retexture him, I've learned a lot the first time so I think I could be 50times better with your suggestions :)
About the picture you showed. I've been a bit inspired by this one :=)

@ Snipawolf : "It's nice but horrible at the same time..."
I agree :-)

@ Gota : Sure it's confusing
You want me I do another super unit ? haha... why not.
The fact it's takes a lot of times, I've spend 4 days on the behemot, like 30-40 hours :/

@ Crayfish : True, I don't think it's really impossible to use it in a multiplayer game. But like I said I could be possible in solo mod ^^

@ Pressure Line : Never see that one :) Looks fine

@ Kaine : huhu thx :) Yeah it took me a lot's of time to texture it cause I'm not good at it. Even if you like the texture, it's not really good :)
The model could looks 100 times better with decent textures :)

@ [Krogoth86] : True, Krogoth is building successfully rarely. I don't imagine units like that =D

Yeah, it'd make a great boss on a solo campaign or a chickens - style thing with robots.

evolva-style models to be used in XTA Classic. While mr.d's models are nice, and he's clearly a talented artist, I think they lack that special OTA look/feel.

more to come

You wouldn't find that amount of contrast on a metal texture unless painting was involved, and there's no indication of that on the texture.

And you're still painting the vertices! bad! ;P

Actually it looks like it's been out in heavy snow or extremely low temperatures. I like it, it looks like some sort of partly frozen, uncontainable behemoth.

That is pretty sweet. The turrets may need a bit more work, but the main tex looks sweet to my eyes.

edit: guessmyname nailed it, made me think of WWIII and atomic winter

Here is the "original" metal texture that I've pasted from a photo of a container. I think this one looks good, but I want my behemot looks dark, like inspiring the death  . I've no idea how to manage that ^^

Add some cool steel blue to it to get a colder/darker feeling. Also, just generally decrease the brightness (but not so much the contrast) of the texture.

What I mean when I say that is that you are painting all the edges of the model in a light white line, which is bad texturing practice. Certainly edges will create glints, and have more scratches, then other surfaces, but you need to draw these as glints or scratches, not as a thin white line on all edges.
