I know I am going to be a hueg bulls eye for saying this but I think the TIE needs work, it's texturing is reminiscent of materials in rendering software. I also thing the the X wing needs it's contrast raised a bit. At the moment it is a bit muddy and with maybe a 5-10% contrast adjustment that detail could pop right out at you.

Also, zsinj, could you crop that image a bit on the sides? the images are messing with the layout of the forum.

Yeah, the rest of the team laid into me regarding the TIE, and it's gone through a number of revisions since that image. I guess it'll go through a few more before final release, too.

Will crop them in the future; they're up on FU now and I can't be bothered reuploading, so I'll just leave them as links for the moment.

I wish the forum software would extend only the post with the image, like at TAUniverse.

Hmm I don't really like the metal texture used on the TIE Phantom. It's not clean enough and distracts.

Again, as said earlier, it has been reworked, though is not finished enough yet to display.

Again, we are actively seeking people able to texture models, as our current texturers are swamped with models. If you think you're up to it, PM me some examples of your work!

Some taster shots, for fun :)

(Yes, those are the new ewebs - the empire's new equal employment commission is putting those stormies with spinal injuries to good use ;) )

(ATST has not been textured yet, current texture is a placeholder)

The ties still look bad.

The e-webs are a bit too shiney.. and why are they hover platforms?

Every thing else looks fab.

Things look slightly out of proportion. Also, those behemoth Stormtroopers walking next to the trees.. sheesh!

Everyone liked the TIE's when I posted them months ago :P

The eweb, from canon, is manned by 3 people generally, and atleast 2. Animating that is a pain in the butt - so we decided to make it a single man hover platform, which still acts in the same way (deploying to fire).

I'd like to shrink the stormtroopers further, but it's difficult because of Spring's damage detection issues. Not much we can do about it, considering the huge issues we had with the droids in our first release...

Shows how quickly the technology develops? 6 months ago the stuff that is now balls looked ground-breaking. Now everyone's used to amazing skins and crap. Much more challenging for us modders :(

do the infantry have the new running animations used in 1944 etc? the old star wars "strolling" infantry animation was the game biggest flaw imo
