A new death machine for the Cursed:

Image

The top image is bloomed with Kloot's amazing Lua magics. Some maps it gives a realistic touch - the "barrens" for example really feel like a burning desert with bloom turned on...

just to clear it up HOI didn't write the bloom kloot did.

Yes that needs to be made ABUNDANTLY clear. I always wondered why Hoi was making it look like he wrote it...

Looks to me like it's upping the contrast that did it, not the blurring effect of bloom.

wow that looks good!

@the ppl below i did not make it, but i found it and made a topic, then i improved it and made a mistake so it looked like I made it, which i didnt becaus kloot made it :?

You guys should look at this map ingame with bloom turned on - It adds realism imho - the only bad thing is that is is applied to the skybox, too.

the bloom needs to be in the engine, that way skyboxes (and more) can be ignored

did i say that they arnt? i mean, that if the bloom is in the engine it can be changed so skyboxes arnt bloomed

The realism comes from the strong contrast, bloom also adds blur that is completely unrealistic.

It's a post processing filter which gets applied after rendering.
