Yeah, press print (or alt+print if windowed), alt+tab back to windows and paste the screen in your favourite image editing program. You can set the JPEG compression rate in photoshop during the saving progress by the way, so it looks less blurry. 8 or 10 is a good setting. You could go for pngs too, they'll be larger but crispy clean.

Oh and the Jaguar is fine, remember it from HG2.

Looks cool.

Though a quick note: how are you modelling these? If you're going off the "old new" miniatures or the technical drawings, they're going to look a bit odd. We've recently discovered that the proportions there are a bit off. The arms, for example, are actually too small.

Oh, and one more suggestion: for the Gears, make one of the shoulders (pref. the one not covered by the rocket pod) a team colour "patch".

Hi!

I model the gears after what i can find, and yes the arms are too short to properly grip a weapon two-handed. Well its easily fixed in a 3d program :P
I am currently adding more teamcolour to the gears, the jaguar currently has one stripe on its head, one symbol on the torso and a stripe on one of the armor plates. Perhaps a shoulder symbol would be good as well.

Just had an interesting game vs. AI, the ai actually built all kinds of things and expanded rapidly, but didnt do much anything with its stuff, except porc. Still, proper arty isnt in yet so i had to assault his base over and over and it proved quite difficult. Also, i've implemented cloaking for infantry now (no-energy cost) to simulate hiding and it really is necessary now to have infantry of your own to scout out areas or you could get into a nasty AT infantry ambush. Also autocannons and rockets are vastly overpowered weapons compared to infantry so they usually overkill single soldiers pretty badly but large groups are unaffected.

Here are some screenies, also updated jaguar with improved head model. The old was pixly.

Lookin' good :) I'd take off the reflectivity channel on the armored sections of the Gears, though, so that they look more like dull armor, and less like plastic. Other than that, looks really nice.

Argh is right. The armour may be metal, but the paint isn't, and paint isn't reflective

Check out Phil's new miniatures. They've got much better proportions. Not sure if it's good enough to model off of, but it should at least give you some idea of what changes could be made.

See the current header image on the Dream Pod 9 site. The red on the Northern Gears and the yellow on the Southern models is what I'm talking about. Turn those areas into Team Colour and it will officially be awesome.

I like reflectiveness, but it does look odd on paint, rather then on metal.

Well i've tweaked the reflectivity back and forth quite some while now and ended up with this. Its most of the time much more subtle than it ended up on these screenies. I've thought about it too that paint is not that reflective but ive come to the conclusion that paints used to paint metal surfaces are somewhat reflective when exposed to direct light and not matte like say wooden paint that absorbs light. If you still think its too bright when you see it in motion ill change it tho.

It's very much inspired by the Hind. The Northern attack copter is much more original.

Nothing wrong with looking like a Hind. In fact i would say the Hind looks pretty good (though, when it has those side mounted 30mms, it throws off the look IMO :P). I assume lots of rockets on this and that the turret works as it should?
