I actually have a proposition here, we remove all the DSD only hosts(as well as the none DSD hosts). Then we simply have the hosts go through a cycle of maps (DSD can be a part of it). Maps not included from this cycle should not be banned and should be able to be voted on. If a map that is out of cycle get picked, after that game is done the cycle move on where is left off.

We will need the cooperation of all of the major host owners

The benefit to this system is that it does not ÔÇ£banÔÇØ DSD. It allows for a balance play from a variety of maps, also allows the possibility of new maps to be played. I would also highly recommend that host owners periodically change their map cycles, and also let mappers promote their new maps through this method.

Also If the proponents of badsd8v8 are correct, and there is an absolute relation with what get play and what people want (and the context of people play things simply because others are playing it does not exist, as they seem to claim). Then people will vote for DSD game after game after game. I say, letÔÇÖs test their propositions!!!!!!

We need the total cooperation of the host owners, all the major hostsÔÇÖ need 2 do this for this to work(we have seen that people naturally acts conservatively when there are options with the other host experiments, it is very hard to break the current cycles) . I would also argue that in the long run, lack of variety will make players lose interest (whether they want to play the same thing they are good at over and over again or not) and this can gravely hurt the spring population(if it has not already). Personally it pains me to see that all this new content that spring developers make dose not get played.

I personally never had wonderful experience with the host owners.i have seen them spawn multiple commanders for themselves at the start of games, as well as kick for egotist reasons (we I got kicked for protesting at least from my point of view it is a egotistic move)

pointless thread is pointless

dont like a host either
use your own host
use a different host

dont like a map then dont play it

nothing will ever be done by the spring moderation for this "issue" its a line that cant be crossed. this discussion is not going to change anything accept rouse the peasantry (i.e. people with nothing better to do/complain about)

Since this thread went far from anything useful, Im locking it.
Just btw, dsd is back to its normal rate of 25-30%, thanks to all those who actually talked and reasoned with Lampe, as well as Lampe for listening to our reasoning.
