I wonder how visible the entire model will be from the view people play at half the time :P

It's like 10 polies for all of those cables, doesn't matter anyway, the whole thing will be far < 1000.

The other wheels won't be included. By 1944-1945, Germany could not afford wheels for their vehicles. Instead they used bricks, square sidewalk cement pieces and other assorted non-circular objects.

Hmm... i got a thought: what if we could make models for each zoom level? so the game would became faster when it doesnt need to render all those useless polygons which you cant really see?

I guess that Stepdown LOD is going to be added into spring pretty soon Trademark, the actual process of getting it in game however seems to be shrouded in darkness at the moment :P

Spring already pre-renders units onto images and then replces the models with those images once you go past the unit detail distance.

Most users dotn notice this though as the icon distance is usually smaller and thus the simplified versions of models are never shown.

Yeah, ive noticed that "pre rendered" thing, but it actually sucks :S, some units looked very weird with those icons.

But i was thinking to make models with less detail when you zoom out, but i dont know is that just waste of resources for the GPU, because you need to update the model so often then...

WHERE ARE THE OTHER WHEELS?!?!?

Also, you only would need 2 models per unit for your system, just wouldn't work for mods like mine, where there are 12 objects and only 2 on screen at a time. I think that might mess up other scripts as well.

Ehh, not bad I guess

Something looks off with it, like it's too tall or something. Show more pics from different angles!

Hmm, I think its too short is what I think it is:

Also, I don't think the commander's copula is quite correct, and the loader's hatch on the top of the turret is misshapen.
