Maybe, but it would depend on whether there is ogg vorbis support for lua someplace. Or MP3. Or Flac. In fact, any compressed music format, just something that isn't .wav.

In all honesty, a jambox widget would be great.

2 options...

1: a playlist of songs that you have in the spring directory.
2: A list where you choose, battle, building and idle music.
Based on if you are getting attacked, chilling or in major construction...

just some thoughts.

Exactly what we need, and exactly what OTA had. ahhh, i loved that stuff.
Tbh, i wouldn't even care if i had to configure it in Notepad, so long as i got to add my custom music to it.

And it MUST support MP3. Nuff said, done deal.

Eh, wav would be better than nothing.

Of course, a compressed music format would be best, don't really see any need for MP3s though. Editing text files to choose the music is not a problem for me either, and I doubt it is for most people.

Well, actually, we should rip some of Frank Klepackis music and put it on the Spring Soundtrack, with his permission of course...

Muahahaha

(He did music for like.. All of the C&C games and a couple of other games)

Someone write a DDE client for spring to control winamp/xmms (if xmms supports that). :-)

Frank Klepacki rocks. Also, check out Bart Klepka's game remixes, he's done some C&C remixes and lots of other titles. The url was http://bart.overclocked.org, sadly it's gone. Anyone happen to know if his site moved elsewhere or what happened to overclocked.org?

All we really need is a direct link the mp3 stream on Nectarine Demoscene Radio. I always listen to that when I play Spring. It's awesome!
