It's a little different from the modder's point of view, trust mepikn wrote:What stuck in my mind over anything else when I first played spring was the bombers. They display what is great about what they have created, true physics.
You guys deserve more praise.

We hate the bombers because some times they fly in circles if they pass onto a hill, they bomb each other, they fly low to the ground to bomb, they drop two or more bombs based on fire rate etc not count, the bombs fall too slow... it goes on and on. They are really really cumbersome.PicassoCT wrote:To Balance Physic based Units - like bombers - you need to use HitPossibilitys in the Calculation. Poor Moders, they must hate Bombers...

Why is everyone so down on Sup-Com. Sure Spring is better and freer...and in some cases, even looks nicer...and has better, faster feedback (As in I can litterally hop on Team talk and say: "Hey Fang, EE Roxxors! And he'd say "Thrust Vectoring owns the Skies!")
And lots of the fetures from Sup Com are already in Spring. And There are more mods. And better mods. And Spring's already out. And we're getting close to a campain. Oh and the fact that Spring runs at 50FPS, while Supcom goes at 10...
I like Spring.
PS: Not every RTS game that looks like a surefire winner has been bad. What about Company of Heros. If that was bad, then good is dumb!

Oo I use bombers to good effect almost every game... OoSwiftSpear wrote:The problem with bombers is lack of AI control on the modder's side more then lack of specific hit control. Actually it's a general problem for aircraft, it's just most noticeable with bombers because you can do virtually nothing with them unless it fits into an extremely narrow template.

I was talking about for modders... They don't have enough control over how a bomber behaves, it's a VERY restricting system on the mod side.LordMatt wrote:Oo I use bombers to good effect almost every game... No, off topic thread is SPAAAARTA!
Okay, I'm done. But still, the Swedish Yankspankers deserve someone to cook them a cake. This one time, I had this really good teacher and he was feeling all down, so I baked a cake...and then, due to a bunch of reasons that have nothing whats so ever to with the cake, things got a lot better.
So I think someone who lives near teh Yankspankers needs to bake a big old chocolate cake.
