I doubt such a small amount of dat asuch as two coordinates what like for a game of 8 players a couple of "single" data types two identify coordinates or some equivlant in spring code would do it

I like this idea. Not exactly high priority (FIX DESYNCS DAMMIT) but not a bad suggestion. I vote yes.
optional FTW.

Should make it so that there is a ball where the center of the screen of the player is, in 3d, then a line(vector) to the ball which is the cursor where it is projected onto the ground. Maybe a flat texture along the ground plane would be good for this.

there is a sleight problem.
the curser exists within 2 dimensonal space.. which are different depending on where your camera is...
im sure you'd just use a sprite for it

I suggest we see the screen position in the minimap, as it was in the OTA.

wow.
24 yes, 24 no ...

Seems like the community is quite divided on this question =)

I vote YES, but optional, and I agree a screen position on the minimap could be cool too (optional too).

EnlightenedOne wrote:others have said it might affect privacy of their style of play, but if it was optional to a host, or not included in replays, or even you could choose who to share your cursor with it could be purely between clan members
I still wonder how it could affect to your privacy
Only if you want to to lie that you didnt see something :-)

It never bothered me in OTA, i actually liked that i can see what my allies are doing.

This would also reduce spamming the markers on the map, because you can see that the player is already watching that place.

Showing ally's screen position is an important feature. Their cursor isn't.

I dont think that would make any more lag than building one unit and moving it...

If its not to hard to implement,
and it dosn't cause lag,
and it is made option for both the viewer and the cursor position sender,
and it's not made to a high priority
then go ahead and do it.
