Ha! I was right!

I did write a new episode!

├óÔé¼┼ôJen├óÔé¼┬Ø I stood, feeling remarkably calm, ├óÔé¼┼ôGo to the beginning and start from there...I think I'm going to just sit down for a bit├óÔé¼┬Ø

├óÔé¼┼ôOkay├óÔé¼┬Ø Jen said, sitting down next to me, ├óÔé¼┼ôWell after I got a hole through my stomach, I focused of staying alive for a bit. Then, once you were gone, I called the police. We were lucky, actually. Amanda Hernandez Ruben had one of the nieces, fanciest auto's in town and the Army soldiers were kind enough to point them-├óÔé¼┬Ø

├óÔé¼┼ôSoldiers? Whats going on back in town?├óÔé¼┬Ø

Jen sighed slowly, shoulders slumping, ├óÔé¼┼ôI thought it had been bad with the shootings a few years ago. But today the city has really gone to hell. Martial law was declared when the first gun battle started. Looks like Capon and the Rubens and fighting it out, and don't really care who gets in the way. The army arrived a few hours ago, but fighting is still going on in the city├óÔé¼┬Ø

├óÔé¼┼ôWe have to get back there!├óÔé¼┬Ø I stood, turning towards the entrance of the cave. The snow was getting thicker and thicker, a flurry of white.

├óÔé¼┼ôWhy? It's safer our here and I think the army can-├óÔé¼┬Ø

├óÔé¼┼ôNo!├óÔé¼┬Ø I said, ├óÔé¼┼ôThat weird ritual you rescued me from...it was to bring Amanda's father back to life├óÔé¼┬Ø

├óÔé¼┼ôWhat?├óÔé¼┬Ø

├óÔé¼┼ôWell, the way Amanda explained it was...a man who died and became a vampire gets really powerful...so a vampire who dies and becomes the 'next' thing becomes even more pow-├óÔé¼┬Ø

├óÔé¼┼ôA Litch! They're creating a Litch!├óÔé¼┬Ø Jen stood, eyes wide.

├óÔé¼┼ôA what?├óÔé¼┬Ø

├óÔé¼┼ôA Litch...an undead soccers. You know, like in those pulps.├óÔé¼┬Ø Jen saw my expression and just shook her head. ├óÔé¼┼ôNever mind├óÔé¼┬Ø

I started to walk towards the exit of the cave, but Jen's hand on my shoulder stopped me.

├óÔé¼┼ôWait├óÔé¼┬Ø She said, ├óÔé¼┼ôYou need to know some things about your new condition├óÔé¼┬Ø

├óÔé¼┼ôI had almost forgotten that├óÔé¼┬Ø I said, turning around.

├óÔé¼┼ôRight...the first thing to know├óÔé¼┬Ø Jen said, ├óÔé¼┼ôIs that you are very strong. You have to be careful when dealing with anyone but werewolves and vampires, cause werewolves can easily break someone's hand by just shaking it. Also your sense of smell is much better, you're ears are more sensitive├óÔé¼┬Ø

Better is an understatement. I sniffed and could smell everything. Literally everything. The snow outside, the hair on Jen's head...mostly Jen. I sniffed again, feeling a stirring in my loins. My tail shifted, moving faster and faster.

├óÔé¼┼ôWhoa there├óÔé¼┬Ø Jen said, holding her hands up, ├óÔé¼┼ôSex later├óÔé¼┬Ø

├óÔé¼┼ôI didn't say anything├óÔé¼┬Ø I said, smiling.

Jen tapped her noise, moving towards the mouth of the cave, ├óÔé¼┼ôLets go├óÔé¼┬Ø

I shivered as I walked out of the cave, striding through the snow.

├óÔé¼┼ôDon't worry about the cold├óÔé¼┬Ø Jen said, turning halfway around, still walking forward, ├óÔé¼┼ôJust grow extra fur├óÔé¼┬Ø

├óÔé¼┼ôHow?├óÔé¼┬Ø I shouted of the blizzard. Jen shrugged, ├óÔé¼┼ôI don't know! Just do it!├óÔé¼┬Ø

I focused on growing hair and suddenly my clothes felt too tight. I looked at my hands and found they had become long and clawed, fur bursting from my skin. The side effect was I suddenly felt as if I was swabbed in a thick blanket without any mobility issues. I grinned, ├óÔé¼┼ôI can get used to this├óÔé¼┬Ø

A shape loomed in the snow ahead of us. Jen stopped me, holding up her hand. It was clawed and furred, like mine. I wondered how her face looked with the fur...

├óÔé¼┼ôI think that's the cultist den├óÔé¼┬Ø Jen said, ├óÔé¼┼ôLet me go first├óÔé¼┬Ø

She stooped and peered into the snow. Then she leaped forward, the snow behind her flying up as her legs pumped into the snow. Jen smashed into a dark figure. There was a wet scream, then a tearing sound. Blood splashed and Jen stood, her features obscured by the snow, making her a black silhouette.

├óÔé¼┼ôIt's safe├óÔé¼┬Ø Jen said, throwing her head back, letting her pony tails run down her back. I moved forward and saw that her face was elongated, stretched into a muzzle like a wolf. I felt my face and found that it was stretched as well. At least I was warm. That was all I cared about right now.

├óÔé¼┼ôLets go├óÔé¼┬Ø Jen said. I stopped and picked up the gun from the newly dead cultist.

We both skirted the entrance of the cave, glad to see only one guard. Jen placed her hand on my chest, stopping me. She grabbed the wall of the cave and crawled over the wall like a spider. The cultist looked up the split second before Jen dropped on him and tore his head off. Blood sprayed and I gaped. Jen wasn't kidding about the strength.

Jen gestured to me and I followed her.

├óÔé¼┼ôSo├óÔé¼┬Ø Jen whispered, ├óÔé¼┼ôLets go├óÔé¼┬Ø

We both moved past the cave. My left ear suddenly perked up. I heard something, subconsciously.

├óÔé¼┼ôWait├óÔé¼┬Ø I said, ├óÔé¼┼ôI hear something├óÔé¼┬Ø

Jen stopped, ├óÔé¼┼ôWhat?├óÔé¼┬Ø

├óÔé¼┼ôI hear...chanting├óÔé¼┬Ø I moved towards the cave entrance, ├óÔé¼┼ôI hear chanting! Oh shit!├óÔé¼┬Ø

├óÔé¼┼ôWhat?├óÔé¼┬Ø

├óÔé¼┼ôThose coppers...the saps who didn't make it...Amanda said they needed life force to bring her pappy back. Those dead men could work for it...├óÔé¼┬Ø

├óÔé¼┼ôBloody hell you're right├óÔé¼┬Ø Jen sighed, running her hand through her hair.

├óÔé¼┼ôLets go├óÔé¼┬Ø I said, sticking to the wall of the cave, sticking to the shadows. Jen followed. I focused and made the hair fall back and away, my hands returning to their normal length. We slinked along the wall, my heart hammering in my throat. We were going down, thats what I could tell. Then my eyes adjusted and I could see the ground. It was tiled with strange symbols and weird letters. I looked back at the wall.

We hit an intersection. I paused, hearing footsteps. Two cultists walked past. I pulled out the gun I had grabbed from the dead cultist. I leveled the gun, hoping it worked the way I thought it worked. The gun bounced in my hands and the two cultists fell, holes burned through their back, blasting through one and hitting the other. The smell of ozone was incredibly strong, making me cough. The sound attracted attention, three more cultists running to investigate. The two that I shot slowly got to their feet, alive.

I swept the gun through their necks, keeping the trigger depressed. Their heads came off and this time they died permanently. The three cultists who were investigating came into the hallway, holding electronic torches and those weird guns. I fired at them as Jen ran forward on all fours. She jumped up and bowled over the cultists, ripping and tearing. Blood sprayed, along with entrails. Jen's teeth flashed as she grinned and she wrenched and arm out of its socket.

I almost threw up as Jen stood over the mutilated corpses, her long clawed fingers dripping blood.

Jen looked over her shoulder, flicking her hands to get the blood off. The claws retracted and she relaxed slightly. There were no more cultists.

├óÔé¼┼ôWhere are the rest of them?├óÔé¼┬Ø I asked, still hearing the chanting.

├óÔé¼┼ôChanting├óÔé¼┬Ø Jen said, walking forward.

├óÔé¼┼ôAlso...are...are you always that...vicious?├óÔé¼┬Ø

├óÔé¼┼ôOnly when I'm fighting├óÔé¼┬Ø Jen said, ├óÔé¼┼ôYou have to be vicious to win├óÔé¼┬Ø

├óÔé¼┼ôOh├óÔé¼┬Ø I said.

We arrived in the main cultist chamber. The chanters were still chanting, completely oblivious to what was going on. A overseer was watching them, holding her hand over the pool. It wasn't Amanda I noticed, but rather a woman with tattoo's scrawled over her body. Her eyes were closed, her mouth whispering words that I couldn't hear. The chanting was wearing on my nerves, sending shivers down my spine.

The woman opened her eyes and light shot from them. The light coiled in the air like snakes and touched the water. I noticed, with a nasty jolt, that the bodies of the police were strung up around the cave. Those bodies suddenly convulsed and flew toward the pool. Each body fell into the pool and vanished, the pool getting redder and redder as the new body joined it.

The woman closed her eyes again and the snakes of light spiraled into the pool. They vanished with a wet snapping sound. The pool bubbled and frothed. Something in the real world twisted and a body flew out of the pool.

I gaped. It was a skeletal figure, draped with long dribbling sheathes of skin. Blood dribbled from its arms and legs. It slowly settled on the floor, shoulders bent.

├óÔé¼┼ôMaster!├óÔé¼┬Ø The witch croaked, her voice hideous sounding, like screeching metal.

├óÔé¼┼ôThank you, fair servant├óÔé¼┬Ø Ferdinand said, his voice throaty and horse, wheezy like a winter breeze. It also made me freeze as I listened, my blood chill. Jen placed her hands on my shoulder, drawing a shuddering gasp.

├óÔé¼┼ôI need...one more thing...from you, fair servant├óÔé¼┬Ø Ferdinand said.

├óÔé¼┼ôAny...thing├óÔé¼┬Ø The witch choked, feeling her throat as she was gently lifted in the air. Ferdinand grinned, his teeth flashing. The witch convulsed and her skin peeled open like a fruit, blood spraying. The blood hovered in the air like a gas, then flew into Ferdinand. He discarded the witch's flayed body, letting it slither to the floor. His skin grew more attached to his body, flesh growing outwards grotesquely.

├óÔé¼┼ôAnd now...let's greet our gusts├óÔé¼┬Ø Ferdinand looked straight at me and grinned.
