That's the Groom Lake test facility; Groom Lake is the big white area (a dry lake), the thick line running northwest-southeast on the south of the lake is a runway I believe, the circle-diamond-circle is a bombing test range. (Or, if you listen to conspiracy theorists, a UFO test site.)

It's sad that I can identify that place on sight. Also, <3 Google Earth!

is Groom Lake (and Area 51). You may be right about the bombing test range, although, personally, I don't see why the "targets" are like a mile wide...
