Running down Titan hallways with nothing but a combat knife and screaming "FOR THE FATHERLAND!!" into your mic is fun.

Especially when it works and you kill four guys with it. :o

2142 is a pathetic excuse for a game.

You obviously had a bad experience with it.

I was in several clans for BF1942 and BF2, have played the games a long time, and quite simply, DICE and EA let everybody down. They rushed BF2 so that it ended up being a total piece of shit, and once it was released, rushed 2142 and left all the problems in BF2 for a year. Then they send out some public message basically saying how important developing patches and improving the game is to them a couple of months before 2142 is released. And dear sweet lord baby jesus, don't get me started on the gigantic pile of fuck that is Battlefield Vietnam.

All in all, I hope DICE runs afoul of a suicide bomber.

You know, I agree, just to a lesser extent. I do think that many of the problems for BF2 (and especially the recurring ones for 2142) are minor and could have been fixed quickly in a patch or, god forbid, add a week to the release.

And I agree, BF Vietnam was by far the worst "good game" I've ever played. I only keep it because there's a pretty good Revolutionary War mod for it.

Battlefield 2142 apparently comes with spyware. Avoid at all costs.

BF2142 hates me!

Punkbuster is a load of crap, don't buy games that use it.

Seriously, I installed BF2142, everything went ok. Got into the game after creating my account, everthing is peachy. Try to actually play a game, nope! Punkbuster has kicked you without reason. I have been trying to figure out what the hell I did wrong ever since.

also they did a "Day Zero" patch so if u went and got the boxed game u need to dl the patch from the main site. Yeah yeah, Day Zero patches suck but im not gonna whine and cry like a baby im just gonna dl it and play the game. EA really shot themselves in the foot with this game as it hit nerves of nearly every gamer. While some of it is unfounded and stupid *cough*spyware*cough* they really have hurt their image with this... I just hope they don't f**k up C&C 3 that bad...

EA ruined Dice.

Don't hate Dice, hate EA. Everything past Vietnam is mostly EA's fault. They were the ones that pushed Dice to rush BF2 for example.

and unfortuneately since EA now offically owns Dice things may get worse. For instance they closed two of Dice's studio's, one in canada and the smaller one in the UK.

Rush? Wasn't DICE notorious for releasing buggy games even before EA got control of them?
