The clue about the lawsuit was probably something Caydr might have gotten... a lawyer, John Kirby, did a lot of work for Nintendo of America for several years. A popular theory is that the character was named after him.

Indeed, Kirby is not a male name, and I am damn thankful.

Apparently, I'm listed as a cookiemod, so when I get around to actually doing something with that, I'll update yours to include a +4 cookies thing, Candleman.

I put -50%. Being able to game on is cool, a +1 trait, but Caydr's description is extreme. I would stay the hell away from *anyone* like that.

It's funny, because her parents were going to name their other child Eureka - she dodged the bullet however.

Yeah, anyway..

I do think her appeal to me would increase when she has an interest in gaming.
But if she is really hardcore with gaming it might be a drawback, I like to play not master games, it's really cool if it's at the hobby level.
I did like the girls in my class (school for IT), one of them regedit my Windows system to crack some activation stuff. :-D
It was quite funny to see her paste serials and stuff around, dead serious.
I also know how it feels, I used to do horseback riding, girls like guys that can ride a horse the same way guys like girls that can work with computers. :-)

First of all... Having a girlfriend named Kirby makes you much cooler... make sure she knows that the internet thinks this...

Second... I think that having a chick that is willing to use her brain in general is good... if they like board games/video games/reading/watching cheesy 80s movies this is a sign that a) they are on drugs, or b) they are going to be easy to find cheap things to do with, and c) they are probably going to be willing to use their brain and be worth talking to about things that arn't marriage, babies, relationships etc...

problem is some chicks FAKE being cool while they are dating you, and then go back to being normal dumb-blond-baby-wanting-money-hole... grumble mumble complain

I generally like and get on well with those kinds of girls. Having a relationship with any woman is usually completely different to being friends with her.

A girl being a gamer is a good indication that our personalities will not be totally oposite: she won't pick on me for my time on the computer, she will be able to understand what I am talking about and will be interested in the things I think about in my free time, and she obviously finds activities that involve puzzle solving and strategies entertaining.

So is it a positive? Absolutely. But is it a small factor? Yeah. She might be one of "those" video game nerds that I find exhasperatingly obknoxious. She might be annoying in a million other ways. Way to many variables.

You didn't offer this as a choice, but I would say somewhere in the 5-10% range.

Nooohohohoh! My computer is slow as hell on the internet..

Anyways I put 100 percent.. I like "okay" girls.. A few pimples maybe, not too skinny, not too fat, I don't need her to look like she has implants either, and the ass doesn't need to be as big as my chest.. I actually like it more when the ass is smaller....

Anyways back to my first line, for some reason bellsouth is being annoying as hell with my connection.... I had 500 ping Without Azureus or Bitcomet up!

My "gal pal" games, but she's an RPG kinda individual. Last time she RTS'ed was pretty much never; same for me and RPGs i guess, though :P

ALthough i suspect that FPS games might be an excellent middle ground for us

Edit: And as for the actual topic; i dont give a hoot about gaming abilities or lack thereof. (0% is what I put)

OMG! Kirby!? Oh man. I didn't think guys were actually named that, let alone girls. If I knew a girl named kirby, she'd have to develop a sense of humor about it, because I would constantly be finding ways to work it into conversation.

She wakes up beside me out of a terrible dream, screaming. I say, here, take this, relax. I hand her a GBA with Kirby Nightmare in Dreamland. I'd be dead six times before I finished my first sentence talking to her.

"Do I look fat in this?" "No, you look nothing like Kirby"
"Oh god I'm late for work. Where are my keys?!" "Maybe you swallowed them?"
"This guy James at work, he slapped my ass. Know what I did to him?" "Ate him then threw him at the boss?"

She actually hid my copy of Nightmare in Dreamland. Not a great loss, considering it is a direct repackage of Kirby's Adventure for the NES with different mini-games and slightly better animations. I happen to have the NES version, as well.

She simply hates video games. And she bites me if I make jokes.

Oh wait, if its hard enough that could be a bad thing. Whatever. Sounds like you've got quite a whu-man there. May you live happily together for as long as you wish.

I dont think a girl into video games wouldnt really be more attractive to me... a girl weilding a guitar, sporting an ACDC T shirt with a good appetite for beer and that special twinkle in her eye.... thats more up my street...

hehe
