Seems really redundant.. I think you want the assignment operator = there. But of course i know nothing about AI buildtrees.

No, the noob buildtree:
corcom.txt wrote:cormex, cormex, cormex, corsolar, corlab, corgant, B_GUARD_FACTORY
corlab.txt wrote:corck, repeat
corck.txt wrote:cortoast, repair, cortoast, repair, B_RETREAT, B_GUARD_FACTORY
And then I would set solobuild=cortoast and antistall=0

From my very limited knowledge of the history of computer terminology, i'd say the whole newb vs n00b circus is from ye olde h4xor culture. A n00b wanted to _be_ the best (as in, this instant), while a newb wfanted to _become_ the best over a long time and learn alot.

So a n00b is a sucky moron and a newbie is just a new guy?

This is my noob ai build-tree. Any takers, Lindir? :twisted:
your missing a parenthesis :P

but i consider the things said here a n00b, a newb(ie) == rookie == novice

I haven't played much of this online. I've played quite a few offline games, but I've only played one online game.

My problem is that I can't remember all the things that you have to do at once; my mind can't deal with constantly-changingneverstoppingquickjbuildaasitesquicknowbuildpeeweesnowtanks-
ARRGHyou'rebeingshelledBUILDWALLSBUILDDEFENSARHGHGHGH!

And it's also a mentality problem; I don't mind losing, it's just the time between losing and the point where I realise that there's not much hope for me that I don't like. I start getting agitated and angry at the constant attack.

I do want to learn, and I want to improve. I'm just not sure my brain will let me.

Ever played on team with someone who completely neglects to build *any* offensive units during the entire game? These are the worst kind of n00bsters in my book, as they expect you to protect them at all times. Hell, they often don't build defence either for that matter, just resource buildings and dozens of factories of every kind like they were actually intending on - hold on to your hats - building a soldier!

I really don't like new players who fail to defend properly and then use the Dgun against raiders next to my bloody base.

The way people in most games I play on

Describe "noob" (and any leetspeak variants - so they have no other meaning) as:
Someone who doesnt want to reach a goal/win by working hard for it;
Someone who doesnt learn at all;
Someone who thinks his tactics are best and thinks all others are useless;
Someone who cant combine information to produce his own strategy and tactics;
Though they describe newb literally as a "Newbie":
Someone who is new to something and is less experienced, or less aware of tactics that maybe used against him / or that he could use (so he wouldnt know how to defend against them as effectively or use his to their highest potential)
