Pxtl almost all of what you said was pretty good, but some infantry should have shields (and should be immune to fast moving things, i.e. shrapnel, fast sword blows etc)

tbh no way of getting this into spring as a decent representation of the books.
i say if you are going to make a mod DO NOT DO C&C GAMEPLAY. and do what pxtl said for the most part (the Harkonnen vs Freemen (and a TINY amount of Atreides)) is the best thing i have head so far :D

The problem is that shields don't work on sand. Any infantry that is shielded would either be "rock only" or you'd have to deal with changing movement classes and similar problems.
