Once I register the "CSpherePartProjectile" class to the system, you should be able to create a sphere with those. Also how do we get the usage of the spherical dome?

A bunch of movies:

http://user.supradigital.org/jcnossen/video0.avi
But it's really about more flexibility, so you'll probably see a lot of new different explosions in the future.

Right now it is a basic particle systemunpossible wrote:are there any screenies of what these new 'splosions look like?
we can do a series of particles(see my post earlier in the thread)
We can do smoke puffs.
we can do glowy stuff that goes into it's self(think particles moving in reverse)
we can do a shockwave effect.
we can do a controlled explosion sprite.
.....
that is it in the current version.

sweet, i like the groundflashes.mpg... needs right coloring, maybe some fade in/outs.. maybe little texture.. but overall very nice to see that going on in big battles!! Really nice!jcnossen wrote:A bunch of movies:

Factory Xpl needs work imho... should be bit smaller, maybe also with some scar-like texture/alphamap.. dunno.. im hoping to get to experiment with it in next official release?
The reason why i bought it in the first placeCaydr wrote:Hey, I think this might be of interest to youNOiZE wrote:...

can we control the timing of these particles, or do they all appear at once?
(Because it would be ace if we could start with a sphere that goes smaller, and then a big explosion)
Also: Can we add in lightning arcs and flames? (basically draw one between two points (x,y,z values) relative to the explosion's origin)

You can make flames with a bunch of heatcloud projectiles, which is howAlso: Can we add in lightning arcs and flames? (basically draw one between two points (x,y,z values) relative to the explosion's origin)
flames are done normally too.
I'm not sure what you want with lighting arcs, but there is a lighting projectile used for the xta zeus gun, that I still have to register.
Expect the syntax to change though, because I have to fix the error smoth reported.
