agorm, try reasing the contrast on your texture by 25, and the brightness by 25 as well. It is quite darkish.

I dont get why people ever make soments like that... It's quite darkish. I mean... Its not. Its one of two other problems...

1) your monitors set up wrong or does'nt have good contrast and colour reproduction.

2) You just personly think that its dark because you just do. And thats your opinion and its fine.

On My monitor however it looks absolutly superbe, and I refuse to make the map look bad on my computer for the sake of someone else. Which I hope you understand... I mean I made it so I should surly be alowed to enjoy it as good as it can be right?

PS, honestly if you think its dark, check your monitor settings and check your graphics cards settings gamma corections and such. Mine are set up perfectly, and I have an 800£ monitor so I doubt you can say mine are in the wrong.

aGorm I think it's not that we're seeing a darker green than you intended and you're saying we're not, I think it's the the green you intended itself is darker and we're both seeing the same green.

well look, you can either take advise or leave it. If you are using an LCD monitor then your colors are brighter than us with CRT's.

Also, it is still a good bit dark.

Your fog needs to be set at .5 minimum, .7 maximum. It looks VERY dingy. One reason for the dingy look is because the fog color is set a little brown/greyish.

Also, you could try raising the sun height. You sun is very low, whoich makes everything darker.

Current settings:
SunDir=1 0.7 1;

Change the sun height to:
SunDir=1 2 1;

AND FOR THE LOVE OF GOD

Never give your map a lower case first letter of the name because it ends up in the bottom of the map list.

Last of all, stop talking to me as though I am on your case. I like you and I like your maps (even though sometimes your idea's boggle me... Sand Dunes for example, 1 mex == 10.5 metal), Realize that I am giving you CONSTRUCTIVE criticism.

Have you ever read any of my map threads? I get railed on all the time. Suck it up and get a stiff upper lip. At least I'm trying to help you.

BTW I have a very expensive 21" monitor. Colors are MUCH warmer on your LCD than on CRT's, and mine is set to the max. I'll bet you were one of the first people to Bitch about Version 1 of canyons being too bright.

FYI, 75% brightness and 75% contrast on an LCD screen is about the brightness of a CRT with settings at 100% (Give or take).

Yhe, but then right at this presice moment I hate evryone one, and I especialy hate people that arn't on my case, because the ycome over like that (due to me hating the world), Hence, Im having a bad year, and yes fine lots of peoiple bash aspects of your maps to, fine. If I had asny time Id liek to sit all day and do stuff but frankly I dont have any time. So Im gonna just stop. Im also gonna be a bad temered git if i like. And then Hopefully people will just stop playing my maps, and play decent maps like speedymetal and the like, and if all goes well, I will be unanimosly hated thought the spring comunity, to the point Im banned on all there sevrvas, and then when I by suprem comander ill find that Ive been IP banned already because someone let them know id be coming.

Quite fankly Im off my rocker.

I was playing in this game as well. Definately very, very low metal. Made the gameplay very slow.

I've played this map. (when cabbage finally found it due to the fact it has lack of a capital letter. fortunatly, forboding already alerted this problem).

When you mex all the metal patcher near your start position, you get as much metal as your commander alone provides*. On a contrary of this, the map is enormous. Resolveing in a fest of windgenerators and mexes.

The height map in the water gave a surprising effect. The submarines wern't able to go everywhere under water, wich drove them to an single expected entrance. Like small divide, only under water. I like this effect a lot. (ofcourse, ships can go freely).

I've no idea what min means with his greatly desired beaches, but I think all this map needs is more metal.

Just a coment.... I gave a new version to storm and gnome, once they uploaded it i will post. Its has twice as much metal.

The thing is it depends were you start...its a two team map, and while evryone strats near metal each start pos does not have the same amount, only each side. Being a team... your ment to sahre your resorcess... :) this will explane why some poeple got more m than others.
