Okay, now that i got that off my chest, i would like to add the blaster bomb from X-com: UFO Defense.
For any who didn't know: the B-bomb is a smart bomb that you can control like a unit. I'd use it to take out clusters of Chrysalids...or even ONE.
IF that sounds excessive, play X-com and tell me you don't HATE and FEAR Chrysalids.
My reason for hating and fearing Chrysalids is simple: I sent in 24 men and killed all the snake men on this one ship. It was a kind of UFO i had never seen before, and as a such i was rather cautious. Then i came into the reactor room, which had been blasted apart by my fighter shooting down the damn thing. Then i saw the blackened corpses of five chrysalids. I broke out in a cold sweat, remembering the terror strike on San Deiago, when i lost five men to ONE Chrysalids.
So i began to go into ultra careful mode. Then one of my me opened a door into the store room of the UFO. Then he was dead, cut down by a Chrysalids. I always send out two men at a time, as if one die's the other can kill whatever killed the other. But his partner missed the Chrysalids, and the true terror of these aliens becomes apparent, as when they kill a unit ANOTHER Chrysalids pops out (like in Alien). The partner was killed and became another Chrysalids.
to cut a LONG story short, the New guy (he was a Pvt at the time) limped back to the ship, as he had SOME how survived a Chrysalids strike without dieing. He had two critical wounds, was bleeding out of the stomach and had ten hit points left. Also his right leg was broken. And he was out of ammo. He got the ramp of my transport. Then the twenty four Chrysalids came out of the night. He threw a grenade, and staggered on the transport. I smashed down the retreat button and lifted off as the grenade blasted apart a few Chrysalids.
Needles to say, the New guy got promoted to Sergent.
BattleTank Global Assualt BTGA (nintendo 64 game no one remembers)
1. nuke (BTGA)
2. Green Bouncing Laser (BTGA)
3. Half Life 2 gravity gun (zombies must be the funnest thing to slice in half!
4. Homing Missle (BTGA)
5. D-Gun (Total Annilation (the original ta))
Pulse Rifle = UT (Throw your rivals out of platforms)
Gauss = HL (Who? What? Where?)
Annihilator = TA (Simply cant live without)
Excalibat = ROTT (Bash your enemies away)
Shotgun = Doom 1 & 2 (Basics, for any game fan)
Well, i chose Pulse Rifle becose its very strong and can cause the blast pulse using the both attack tipes.
Gauss becose its very strong and you can kill rivals that are trying to hide behind any wall.
Annihilator? Well, its a extremaly fast shot and deadly, and i bet everyone here likes to see the small pieces of your enemies flying around. ^^
Excalibat, well , who here has played Rais of the Tried? Keep those monks away and kill multiple targets at the same time by holding the attack button down for a few secs.
Shotgun, every one likes the old and basic shotgun in any game. It would be a shame not to include this masterpiece in my list.
1. UT shock rifle
2. Quake rocket launcher
3. UT Flak cannon
4. BFG-9000 from doom 1 (or whatever the big guns name was)
5. Two barrel shotgun from doom 2
Did I list Smart Missile and Plasma Cannon from Descent 2? Geez those things were such great fun in multiplayer. D2 kicks halo's ass MP-wise, as far as I'm concerned.
