The map is completed now and here are some more screen shoots
of the map. This time I added 4 ai players and watched it. The ai
is getting better all the time. Here is a list of some of the new
stuff added to this map.

added stuff:

- added a Y bmp to change terrian speed for the mountains, dirt
areas, the grassy area and the water.

- added custom start screens with pictures of in game action
from the map.

- added all of different types of rocks, crystals and a statue :lol:

- each terrain type has different map hardness.

Take the time an download it .... IMHO ... this is one of my
better maps .....

Looks quite good

When u move the cursor over the hills it says muddy water

u use OTA-style metal distriubution so i think the metaltexture should be visible on the texture map

some of the rocks are too shiney/bright

Also the units look really bright on this dark map, i think u can set it in the smd that units also get a certein tint.

Thanks for the comments NOiZE.


I'll look into that hill issue. Also, about the metal deposit being
seen on the texture .... I cut some corners ... :roll: I'm bad ..
The rocks being shiney is what I was trying to do. I have a
21 Sony monitor and it looks dark compared to my LCD monitor.


I'll try and fixed these issues. An again thanks, for the input ...

the metal textures, while nice, are not necessary imo.

I can't seem to find images of the ota metal patches. And my gazillion copies of ta won't run on xp

it can't be that hard to get some of those metal spots images, i tried google and found like 3 under one minute... or you could load the maps in annihilator, or u could make your metalpatches.. it really increases the quality of the map..

I thought I sall awhile back that there are some "flat feature metal deposits under the green channel." I might be wrong, and it could just be stuff people made.

I can add the metal deposits to the texture. Do you want me to
do it? If, I'll do it by Friday and get it uploaded for the weekend.
