And yeah, GZ, if you have that problem just upload it through the FTP and leave me or zwzsg or Storm a message somewhere.

Sure, thanks alot :)

This is a beta release so report any oddities, I know the top of the hills are not really worth anything besides wind farms and sneak attacks..

I get a similar problem... When the map loads it doesn't crash but the texturemap is 100% black. Very weird, only map this has ever happened to me on.

since when do you have to include mini.dds? I never have, and the few maps I have made always work. The only crashing problems ive had with my maps have been solved by removing trees and geo's from my type map.

Ah k. So its not required as such, just helpful. I will keep that in mind for maps in the future.

I hope you can't reclaim those icebergs... Also, I like the night, but make it a little brighter. It's just annoying looking at a dark screen for several hours.

Sorry Dragon, can't do that, but you can feel free and edit the SMD if you like ;)

The low-light is something i'll have to keep.

When i choose the map in TASclient, the minimap loads really slow.

On the map:

- if you use OTA style metal distribution the metal should be visiable on the texture imo
- Also the wind value is way to high imo 25-30 !!!! could better be 5 - 25 or something
- The background blue is way to bright imo

It does NOT use OTA style metal distribution!

Yeah I agree there, but I figured Alaska would have very high winds during blizzards and such, too bad I have no snow to illustrate that.

I disagree, if you look at pictures of snowy places at night it's suprisingly blue.

Oh that's what you meant, well everyone is always complaining about too much metal, I sure could have added blobs of metal all over the place and have large mex radius, but this seemed to fix the problem much easier, and I don't want no ugly ass OTA style metal patches on my map.
