Re: Canada riots lol
Civil disobedience is quite an order of magnitude away from rape in terms of severity and motive.
Re: Canada riots lol
not really something I understand. I don't see how it was civil disobedience. People were rioting over a hockey game, not the government telling them they have a curfew or something similarly related to the man.
Re: Canada riots lol
People stab other people with knives and needles in angry crowds. I don't see any reason as to why they wouldn't, at the very least, sexually assault young women who were fighting against them like that.
It mostly looked like some douches starting trouble to me too.

Re: Canada riots lol
Because people place a big difference in value between property damage and *rape*. You start picking on a small woman and the bystanders *will* step up.smoth wrote:Really? Small females in a crowd of people who feel the law no longer applies to them? Honestly, why wouldn't someone try it? they have already crossed one line of civility.
As for a car? Well, it's just stuff.
I mean, the rioters are asshats either way, but we're talking whole orders of magnitude here.
Re: Canada riots lol
so...How many women would sleep with a random guy for a brand new BMW?
XD
XD
Re: Canada riots lol
a joke tbh;
if you look at the riots for the G20 summit or previously in vancouver you'll see that the general attitude was different... almost everyone i could see in the canucks riot is laughing and having a good time. people posing with stolen items outside of looted stores without disguises is just stupid
nowhere near as crazy as riots or fights for sporting events in other countries (cough poland cough netherlands cough russia cough serbia) its just a big deal i guess because we rarely have that;
if boston was within "european" distance (driveable) to vancouver, that stadium would have been half-filled with drunken bruins fans, and the outcome would probably have been completely and utterly out of control.
not the first hockey riot, and not the last.
i like how smoth goes right for the rape XD a true anarchist; wear your chastity belt to the next stanley cup final just in case
but yeah there's a big difference between (on this continent at least) riots caused by politics and riots caused by sporting events

Re: Canada riots lol
don't understand why canadians are so butthurt about losing to America in a sport no1 but them even cares about or plays, like baseball and American football.......
Though sports riots are stupid in general.

Funny that you should talk of chastity belts with smoth ^^KaiserJ wrote:stuff
Kaiser dude...you know canadians are savage brutes and this is just a clear cut proof XD
TBH i really dont know why these riots got so much attention...Are they still in progress?
how can canadians with like 30 million expect to have better players than a 300 million country that invests just as much if not more into the sport..
Re: Canada riots lol
otherside : i dont even watch the leagues here really; and i wouldn't say so much that its butthurt about america vs canada, just some people in vancouver being butthurt about losing the hockey finals in their own city with a complete and embarassing blowout (5-1 is a pretty ugly score for the home team to lose by).
as far as the leagues here go, there isn't anything like relegation or champions league etc, so what you can achieve is extremely limited. as a result i'm not too interested in them, although i watched all of the hockey finals (and basketball, but basketball doesn't count so much because it seems to have more of an international context these days)
so yeah, i agree. i watch soccer, boxing, etc so there's plenty to fill my time with sportswise without settling for something i dont enjoy :3
gota : we rarely have riots here, so it's very unusual. certainly very little sports hooliganism...
lol @ savage brutes... pathetic if you ask me; european fans would go through them like a wet paper bag
part of the problem with that league is that there are "salary caps" to prevent any team from becoming imbalanced... so the wealth thing doesn't really come into play
of course though parity brings all sorts of lameness into play (my personal peeve is that the investor group that owns my cities teams as an example is content to just make money, and if a team can be popular and sell jerseys and tickets etc without winning, then they are content. !balance.)

Orly? That's a load of horsecock. Where were the brave idiots when her car was getting pwned?Pxtl wrote: You start picking on a small woman and the bystanders *will* step up.
Machine Guns + BeanBag Rounds = No Riot.
Re: Canada riots lol
That is horseshit. What about the Kitty Genovese case. A lot of people heard her screaming when she was getting murdered and no one helped her or even called the police for help at first because they didn't want to get involved. This article says that someone said let her alone, but the other guy still killed her.Forboding Angel wrote:Orly? That's a load of horsecock.
