if all the orks fought together they could probably kill everyone (but they just like to fight.. they don't care who)

chaos could dominate if the gods really cared (but they just screw around amusing themselves)

tyranid hive-fleets enter from outside the known galaxy so no-one knows how powerful they really are (probably omgwtf-uber-mega-powerful)

the "good" guys (imperial/tau/eldar) are all pathetic weaklings just trying to survive (imperium is a super-massive sprawling galaxy-spanning empire but its just a speck to tyranids). I'm not sure about necrons.

tau are easily the faggiest race, they were introduced waaay after all the other races to grabber de cash when sales were down (all the vets would buy the new army to complete their collection blah de blah). on the tabletop they are superdull, like the imp guard but even more polarised- either the tau gun the other guy down before he gets close, or they get massacred in assaults.

Eldar all the way indeed, esp when starcannon was heavy 3- my 1500 point army was designed entirely to maximise starcannons & wraithlords for maximum spacemarine griefing. cant beleive they made starcannon heavy 2, I can never play again

B-B-B-BREAKING NEWS!
Companies exist to make money. If they don't do it the managers get kicked out by the shareholders.

You haven't seen a decent Tau player then. It's all about mobile firepower, not static gunllines. Just because you or your opponent doesn't know how to play an army doesn't make them dull.

And Eldar are way more weaboo than Tau will ever be.

feel free to point out where I said they relied on static gunlines- no wait, you cant because I didn't and your being kind of an asshole. I have played OK Tau players. They win if they can kite you and shoot from range, because even the tau basic infantry have extra long range and their other gear can skim/move and fire. you win if you can get close, because the tau army disintergrates to assault and mass firepower. the result with most armies is a proccess of charging while they backpedal.

I played eldar so closing wasn't the problem it might be with other races, but it was still painful. they are easily the least enjoyable race to fight against.

eldar fluff might be weeaboo, but as an army to play as they were excellent. army list can be easily adapted to create wildly different kinds of force, lots of exotic and powerful gear, speed, striking power.

Tau are kitey move and shoot their best melee are kroot auxiliary

You eldar crap compared to khorneate or black templars sure you have some melee specialists but your grunts suck more than firewarriors.

If you take oshovah you can get mostly crisis suits :)

<3 Farsight Bomb. The other player shits bricks when you set up a 1200pt army against his 2000pt one, then you deep-strike 800 points of crisis suits in one go on turn 2

Simple - the Tau codex is old. IIRC only Necrons and Sisters of Battle are older now, and they're due for updates very soon. I haven't checked the metagame on DakkaDakka or Warseer in ages (I left the hobby 4 years ago), but I suspect IG and Blood Angels are at the top in the big tourneys. Yes, power creep is an issue with 40k.

Talk about slow balance fixing...You'd think games devs take long to fix balance but this needs new books to be released....

This is half the reason that I decided to play more RTS games instead of 40k. The fluff is still great, except for where Mat Ward has taken a dump on it.

I think the powersuit army is badassed but gave up wargaming because I think most guys in war-games shop are gross losers. I liked a few guys there but most of the disgust me, the rest are kids.

Not how I wanted to spend my Saturday.

funy, interesting how in my country most people playing this belong to an age ranging from 20 year olds to 50 or more.

Few people play this or know the game, maybe this has something to do with that.

Rarely there are any kids, at all.(Not a joke)
In terms of pro versus newb there isnt mutch of that, in the store i play, there are games from 500 points to 1900 points, sometimes there are 3000.

Now talking about the ELDAR responding to you TAU people :P
Tau is a nice army to play with, ranged units, crysis battlesuits are fun to play with, kroots are fun to model and paint e.t.c...

But to be honest eldar gives you a lot more nostalgia, and the way you design your army, its like you were recruiting a figthing force in reality.
Each squad has more special caracters and abilitys than the usual, it is one of the most dificult armys to play with.
The fluff (for the people that like it, myself included) alows you to design a completly new army, the style is so fluid on the models prety mutch anything can be made.

Its like a race that figths with art
The way they move and attack is awesome, the way you can depict a real killing blow with a warlock, or depicting a wave serpent moving from the webway with all the surrouding particles clashing in its armour.

---------------------------------------------------------------
So each race is unique and great but tbh i can say that some of the latest games workshop models, arent any close to what they should be. they tryed to make the units more easy to paint assemble, and to apeal to a younger age, witch is a good marketing move, but they shouldnt have changed the style so mutch.
Examples:
Chaos
They should be more dark and mean looking , not making them look like having a medieval chain mail, or tons of skulls and spaming horns like the teutonic knigths in medieval history.

this is how chaos should be like
taken from steves whitehead chaos army

Eldar:
Although i like the current eldar, more flexible and fluid looking, i enjoyed the more scifi look of the previous versions, though the faces werent that well made tbh back then.

Image

The way you paint alters everything like this wave serpent

though i think the models could have more variation in color, the dark and fluid look gives a nice example on how they should be painted, acordingly to my interpretation of the WH 40k history.

Stateside we had the little pokemon shits all over the shop. Very annoying. The the teenage punks who have occasional thrown figures across a room. Google for pictures of us tourneys. As a tau AND gundam fan I caught a lot of lol weaboo flak. Which is pretty gay because crisis suits are more like madox than gundam.

yeah i can picture that scenario.

thats prety bad, the place you played was it in a Mall or something?, when i was in Canada these stores are the worst places to play.

Normaly arranged matches in warhouses, or friends homes, or even stores that arent in Malls are better places to play.

Also Tau they are a bit biased in japanese comics, but they are still awesome looking, MANTA <3<3.

Still eldar vampire ships are way more awesome

Also Neddie Squats still exist, forge world models only though.
Space dwarves.
