afaik, the first movies were out before the last book was written...
sure was, but harry potter books don't take 5+ years to write (which is why i find this astonishing)

maybe he's got the next book written (to be published when they get to that point in the show) and is working on the final one.

I am holding off on reading the books untill the season goes down. The production values are great, I am looking forward to it.

well i started reading and the 2 episodes seem to be exact copies...
ATM nothing major has been removed, in fact i cant think of anything at all that was removed.
Very good.
I suppose since the episodes are so long they are able to stay very true to the book even when small scenes are involved.

You miss the depth that you get from the inner monologue from some of the characters, but yeah its very close so far.

Well lol....
Maybe they should add the narrator to just read the book while the show is playing....

They did that in the Twilight movies... I'm letting you know because while I read the books and watched the movies because I have a wife who I was seeking a connection with I don't expect you to have done so.

edit: that was unclear, I mean to say the twilight books involved a lot of inner monologue and they just had the actor voice over what she was thinking in the movies.

Hey, I'm not saying I don't approve of that change, it's just you lose some character development and important information about past events. But, yeah, voice overs of any kind are really bad in something that takes itself seriously.

OK after seeing the 3rd episode and reading half the book I start noticing some stuff that were cut..
Any memories or stories being told by characters about the history and wars are ommited.
There are a lot of good bits about past events...
some dialogues get changed and some points are ommited...
If anyone seen the episode than one example is when khleesi confronts her brother.
In the book she is the one who says her brother shell walk without a horse, she is much more aggressive, in the book it says that she realizes that her brother is a shitbag and she is disillusioned, realizing he will never be able to lead them home nor can he be a great king..
Aslo in the book they go on about how the dothraki think that someone without a horse is not a man and that's precisely why she commanded that he is to be without a horse....
I dont like some of the new cast like caytlin's old boyfriend who is now the accountant of the kingdom...
The actor is shit...

The interaction between Jon and the imp was changed but it was ok..

I don't like Twilight, but why is it considered to be so bad when a man hangs out with women who are doing activities that women typically enjoy, but not so bad when women are engaging in activities that men enjoy doing?

Well, lets think abut it, all man hanging out together, doing nothing but socialicing and stoping the competition to impress completely, just adapting by- wait if theres is no competition, there even wouldnt be a artist writting romancepornos (yes, it is pornography, it is just written to stimulate other similar primitve senses- and no, having those unfixed bugs in the back of the mind of half the population, doesent make them a feature)

Actually, i guess, before you all start sneaking up on me (and yes, there are moments were i have to carry the trash-shopping-bag) - i just asume, out of what i find entertaining, and the majority of other man finds entertaining, that this is a chickflick, and will stay one till the end of time. If you want guys to hang out with woman, you ve got to meet them halfway. And, no, dont use sinbad as counter-argument, you and i, we both know, that people in love adjust there brainchemistry, to meet halfway- girls getting moar analytical, man getting moar romantic- it works, but course you if you use that 3month dis-card to win a internet argument.

Sorry Panda, if your attempts to re-educate those silly man into tear dropping vegetables failed, here have my handkerchief, its unused - i promise.

Erm, drooling, being fed, vegetables, bugs, and lack of competition. This is has become a very strange conversation. Spring is in the air!

well, men consider girls that like to do men stuff to be good to hang around with and fun. men consider men that do twilight stuff to be desperate and degraded, impossible to relate to.
