It went viral on its own because a number of prominent internet personalities posted about how awful it was... then it trended on twitter and blew up because people wanted to know what the fuss was about... or at least that seems to have been the cause,

Yeah thats the point. Its reached levels of terrible that can't even be reached intentionally. Like there is so bad that its good, then there is so so so bad its not even bad-good anymore, it's just bad. Like Star Wars Christmas Special bad. I seriously couldn't watch the whole Friday music video because I was afraid I was going to start crying blood.

Probably anyone who does manage to watch the whole thing would die from internal hemorrhaging, its like Vogon poetry bad.

The "Star Wars Christmas Special" was bad in a way that at least you can talk about having watched part of it and about hilariously bad it was that you turned it off... This video takes it to that next, up till now undiscovered level of Bad that even thinking about having watched it and stopped it isn't a positive memory... you just regret however long it took you to realize it was bad and then regret for the rest of your life that it took you so long to do so.
