It wasn't even racist for fuck's sake. I'm usually pretty sensitive about these sorts of things but it's hardly like it's a famous Jewish stereotype that there's loads of them. I find some of the stuff people like Gota and Caydr right more offensive.

^^ This. I can't help but wonder, how am I not banned? I mean I'm rude all the time (I don't mean it that way, that's just how everyone here likes to take it), but at least what kaiser said was funny and harmless.

Edit: @gota, smoth has only been banned once and it was at his own request.

Are you 100% sure?I thought he was banned on several occasions in connection to "ARGH" threads.

I wanna point out that if there is gonna be a jew witch hunt im not the one who asked for it to be removed, i was not offended by it nor did i think he meant to offend.
Usually the only people I flag(if ever) are Smoth and Caydr, cause i find it funny(if there is a real reason of course).

yup, for example Raghna was banned for trolling, and then later perm banned because some noob got asskicked in some thread, while he was still banned (so he didnt even have a chance to troll more), so, you see, they can kill you at any time they want, and the reasons can be anything. They just want scapegoats.

I think classical trolling is saying something that at first glance seems as if it was sincere but that is actually meant to enrage the discussing parties and start a flamewar or a very heated discussion.
Trolling and flamebaiting, i think, is very close.

I havent even seen much flamebaiting here. And usually when that happens, the guy who started it wont get banned, but 10 other guys will.

Its interesting why this thread hasnt been deleted yet :D These kind of threads usually last about 10 seconds here.

The moderators of this forum have always done a terrible job. They ban people for small offenses while totally ignoring people who shouldn't be allowed in this community because they post material that would scare away many newcomers. Kaiser made a joke that was funny, slightly offensive only because it was about a sensitive topic, but it was in jest and completely meaningless. On the other hand, outright offensive and racist remarks have been posted, not in jest, but as sincere opinions. This is why I suggested in that other thread a few weeks back that a separate off-topic subforum be forked for purely controversial topics. That way when moderators fail at their jobs at least I don't have to be subject to crap while still being able to browse the regular off-topic forum.

btw the original title of that thread was "We own it to the dead jews and chinese!" which for some reason i find more offensive then anything else posted in that thread.

THAT is worse than any trolling.
If a mod wants to split a thread at least mark it with "SPLIT FROM: blabla" in title and add a link to original thread etc. If that seems too much work then just dont "moderate" threads that are done anyway and everybody has forgotten about.
Like this ban was 4 days after the posting too. Who cares about such old posts in OT forum, its a waste of time.
Wont even start with how its totally random what thread is okay, ie appearently a thread with videos of people getting kicked in the face is okay.

I'd rather like to see mods concentrate on the "real" forums:
-ie if a noob posts 9000 lines of infolog, edit that into a pastebin link.
-if there is a topic named "help!" rename it into "Installing Spring on XboX [was help!]"
-collect usefull threads ie this, update stickies, update/remove dead links in "Resources" forum
-add submited banners/screenshots
-...

I prefer to troll irl it's 100% more funnier, joke, geek and nerd jokes shouldnt be allowed here

You should have a filter, and people should PRESS a button to say :
ITS A JOKE/TROLLING before posting, so people wouldnt waste time if they dont want to, also people saying joke or trolling without pressing JOKE button would be banned after few warning.
