Re: Help me texture the PN
Do you want any existing models? i have a metric fuck ton, and i can set them to what ever copy rights you want. I am that swell of a guy, although they may not match up with the current game style.
Re: Help me texture the PN
Sorry bob not at this time, Although my spreadsheet is half empty i actually really enjoy modeling units. Just not texturing... so if want to be a really really really swell guy you could texture a thing or two for me. Or not either way it's cool.

http://pidgin.im/ <---To make handling your accounts simpler.
You can have all your accounts on one program, though do note that you won't have webcam support. But IRC is built in.

Re: Texturing a unit will get you into a play test!
hmm, progress! i'm tempted to help as i'm impressed by your hustle, but i have too much stuff on my plate ATM for spring and otherwise
i realize my earlier post was totally off the mark btw
maybe i can help in a small amount; would you like me to give unwrapping / texturing one model a go with max & fireworks, and see if you can glean something from it? unwrapping especially i feel goes a lot faster with max; i've looked at the wings interface and it seems a lot more difficult and time consuming, but that's just opinion i guess
one other thing... dude... 2048x2048 is flippin' huge. it'll work certainly, but i think you could get by with a lot smaller sizes... no sense in using more memory than you need to (i did this too with some of my earlier models for spring... now i'm using 256x256 for most individual units)
*edit*
pick a unit for me, so i can be in the playtest plx

First off much gratitude for ultra's efforts, he is greatly expediting the cause. *Thumbs Up*

that's not the whole work flow posted. i honestly did not expect people to do more than that. I intend to edit that post shortly to cut down on the confusion. but since you pointed it out. Later down the workflow the targa get's resized to 512x512. I really suggest just taking a few minutes to stare at the units in the screenshots to get a feel for how they are supposed to look. There's absolutely nothing fancy about them, just flat colors, with lines outlining the panels. See screenshots thread.one other thing... dude... 2048x2048 is flippin' huge.
Re: Texturing a unit will get you into a play test!
hmm could i have that as an obj or a 3ds? make it a bit easier on me

Re: Texturing a unit will get you into a play test!
sure, just tell which model(s) you want and i'll export it
Re: Texturing a unit will get you into a play test!
If this skill level

is ok for you I would like to texture a unit.
Maybe I can try to do a little better. But not much.

Re: Texturing a unit will get you into a play test!
That is above and beyond, just take a good look at the screen shots and if you want to know what swatches to use feel free to ask. Also please call dibs here on what unit you want to texture to avoid double textures.
Re: Texturing a unit will get you into a play test!
