Who the hell is going to take the time to fake a replay. For what purpose?

you should be much more concerned with programming tactics designed to confuse you. Like when i made the fake springmark, i must have gotten 30 peoples passes(mind you this was 5 years ago) before anyone realized it was just a VBS.

It's actually very easy to change names in a replay, search/replace.
Will not work.

Correct, am I not lead to believe that the names need to be of the same length because they are not stored in a more flexible manner?

You can't increase the length of the name without modifying some binary length fields, but you can make it shorter if you insert NULL characters at the end. But what I meant was that the script gets transmitted zipped, and so its stored in the demo. So you can't modify that with search and replace.

JAZCASH wrote:Yeh, there is the occasional player or two who go around just trying to fuck up everything as much as they can. Eventually they die out for a while until another one comes along.

The current one is [ge]m4rc0l1n0, he needs a perma-ban.

Popular fags of their time include:

MightySheep (Been brought to light)
BadgerMyBadger (Badger) (Is still around sometimes)
Knobhead (Is falling towards the light in a Ausie kind of manner)
Wombat (Just trolls now)(Bumbuddies with Bomba)
Bomba (Just trolls now) (Bumbuddies with Wombat)
Bobbelurman(Didn't ruin games intentionally but was a pro troll and also the worst Veteran)
Sefidel(Was mainly racist and stupid)(Still is stupid, still is racist)(Is now really shy and sensitive)
Emmanuel (The very definition of forum troll)(Banned)

So yeh, there are lot of guys who are total dicks in some way but most of them eventually lose interest in cocking shit up and now just play the game. I think most of them have received a ban (or 7) in their time.

/expect Wombat rage.

Edit: Oh and there is no policy for banning players. I've requested one at least 5 times but apparently there is none of the staff know where to draw the line in agreement so they just decided to leave it to the moderators opinions.

[ge]m4rc0l1n0 imo deserves a ban for a month. In another moderators opinion, he deserves a mute and in another's, a perm-ban (which isn't really permanent at all, it just sounds scary).

Some would even just totally ignore the situation and proclaim replays are fake and so no justice can take place.

Enjoy.

And I assume it will happen in the future. I havnt been spot jacked in months, but when you are jacked, the player generally gets your account banned from the autohost. They also generally target the slowest cpu, which is really lame because that was me for a while.
