I rather enjoy using them, if they weren't in and filled the role they did I would probably still be a Storm/Rocko whore on all maps, since I dig the skirmishing micromanagement.

Best not used.
if you make em better hlts would become fail since hlt are shit for cost in BA...only viable on the tightest of games...
If you make arty t1 more useful than hlt gonna go down in effectiveness unless u change arty t1 so it doesn't outrage hlt.
If you don't want to stop arty from outranging hlt and you wanna buff it buff the guardian so that it becomes the final t1 porc structure and not hlt(as it should be anyway)...if not u will make BA even less porcy(and it is not porcy at all atm).

Also..
Buffing arty might make sammies less effective thus people will build less of them and there will be more successful combombing in some cases.
Expect many balance issues to surface if u make arty a worthwhile unit.

In short BA is balanced for stumpeh,flash and llt.

Samson + Leveler, mixed 1:1, kicks major ass. Same goes for T1 arty.

I agree, the guardian needs to be buffed, it should be really good and precise at hitting fast moving units.

Samson is ok, leveler is ok, so what... t1 arty is still crap.

Actually I haven't even been in the lobby since 2 or 3 months, I compensate by making posts on the forum.

the gaurdian is nerfed to oblivion because it encourages lame gameplay

I dont think that applies to t1 arty, thats just nerfed because accidently balancing the game

If Guardian was nerfed because it encourages lame gameplay, why is Bertha still allowed, being the most lame 'lol I neva left mah base!' long range unit.

Anyway, t1 arty needs only two changes, turning speed and acceleration so it has a chance of moving away before something comes to smoosh its face.

There is no good reason to make guardian unusable...
The only reason it is so is cause of bad balancing.
Nobody decided to make it unusable it was just changed and was nerfed too much...
Let me remind you there were many units that were over powered and were subsequently nerfed so much they became useless...

probly because the bertha only appears in long, porcy, drawn out games, usually at around the time when everyone is bored out of their minds and just wants the game to end, wheras the gaurdian appears pretty early?

that still dosnt change the primary issue, which is why would I build these when I can build slashers, which are tough and have higher dps AND anti air ability. the only use of shellshock as it is, is its outrange of HLT porc

@King: in listing the Slasher's extensive merits, you also forgot sight range. Damned things have very long vision.
