Not likely. I can navigate my way around a mod no problem, but know little of the inner workings of the Spring engine. I have no C++ knowledge and virtually no coding experience.
...but wants to do a frontend.

So what? Frontends can be done in plenty other languages than C++, and don't require any knowledge of the inner workings of the Spring engine.

Coding skills are not even necessary if you stick to reskinning Pxtl or Satirik's frontends.

These implementations are all starting to look decent. I say have an api or even lua, and then let people choose and pick.

as zwzsg has demonstrated partially, you can boot spring into a LUA menu... do this and EVERYTHING you want and have discussed could be possible (suggest a special sub-mod+small-map with deform turned off, spawning units who simply walk across the background... map could even be spinny, harking back to the old TA days (providing it doesn't make us ill))

This.

Also, multicolored elements just don't do it in terms of the professional factor.

How hard would it be to make the spring menu also have a section for viewing the screenshots it has taken from other games and such.
