...but wants to do a frontend. Not likely. I can navigate my way around a mod no problem, but know little of the inner workings of the Spring engine. I have no C++ knowledge and virtually no coding experience.

So what? Frontends can be done in plenty other languages than C++, and don't require any knowledge of the inner workings of the Spring engine.
Coding skills are not even necessary if you stick to reskinning Pxtl or Satirik's frontends.

These implementations are all starting to look decent. I say have an api or even lua, and then let people choose and pick.
Re: Announcing Project D-FENS! (Frontend GUI)
as zwzsg has demonstrated partially, you can boot spring into a LUA menu... do this and EVERYTHING you want and have discussed could be possible (suggest a special sub-mod+small-map with deform turned off, spawning units who simply walk across the background... map could even be spinny, harking back to the old TA days (providing it doesn't make us ill))
Re: Announcing Project D-FENS! (Frontend GUI)
Wow, Auswaschbar, that looks great! Be awesome if that were in the next release!

Also, multicolored elements just don't do it in terms of the professional factor.
Re: Announcing Project D-FENS! (Frontend GUI)
How hard would it be to make the spring menu also have a section for viewing the screenshots it has taken from other games and such.

Is that in spring.exe, IMA SEXZOR YOUR FACE!Auswaschbar wrote:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lLi7XoehhOs
