We've adapted to grasp and use tools, SUCH AS GUNS, though more generally a melee weapon (before we developed guns), to kill prey.

A perfect killing machine would not require tools and would be capable of killing regardless of the amount of tools.

Plus, there is the whole 'Morality' bit about killing, plus our pathetic level of defense to one tiny slash to our neck, plus our unarmored digestive system to eviserate, plus our easily broken fingers and unprotected eye sockets.

So no.

there are some people who can handle video games while others.... well not so much. Banning it isn't going to get rid of the shootings.

It currently isn't like that which makes them vulnerable for all kinds of censorship. There also e.g. mustn't be any swastikas in games here because that would be unconstitutional. In movies they are allowed because that's "just" art and ok then... :?
This thread is about indexing which applies to movies just as much as games.

Any "tech" you add to an organism increases its energy needs and growth time, features don't come free. A creature that can use a tool to kill but is just as capable of killing without one is inferior to one that can use the tool but isn't capable of killing without the tool or one that can kill without the tool but cannot use the tool. Having both is redundant and only wastes resources that will allow a species with less redundancy to have a higher population growth and simply win through superior numbers. Many creatures that are capable of besting a human in direct combat are endangered because their population growth is terribly slow while their high energy demand makes them less adaptable to unfavourable terrain and more succeptible to habitat loss. Humans make up for slow growth with extremely high adaptability and thus wide geographic distribution.
