But for the particular point of capture speed, I'm with Pxtl (minus the CA plug.)
It's not always possible to drag all the old baggage with you when trying to improve something, making backwards compatibility a higher priority than advancement would mean we'd have some areas we could never improve. Other engines require every mod to be at very least recompiled and often adjusted for new versions, Spring is fairly lenient already.
