Re: Usability of the H key
in BA there is a mod option "no sharing to enemy" and this works well.. why harming all other mods?
Re: Usability of the H key
Yes, this does work well. However, enemies names are still in the sharing list making it more eww when you're trying to fast share units.ginekolog wrote:in BA there is a mod option "no sharing to enemy" and this works well.. why harming all other mods?

FFA means there are no permanent alliances, it means anyone can attack anyone else freely. I doesn't mean you blindly strike at whoever is closest until one person gets lucky. Do you have a different definition of Free For All than I do?JAZCASH wrote:This is done in less than 1% of games played. FFA games shouldn't even involve exchange anyway, there's enough problems with allying and whispering in an FFA. It's obvious you just came up with these ideas they could be used for in 10 seconds or so. If you were hoping to confuse an enemy by giving them units, you've got another thing coming.
For testing purposes, simply issue a cheat command. Sharing to enemies causes a lot more problems than good. I think most players will agree with me that it would be best if sharing to enemies should be disabled.
Confusion may be difficult, but distraction by giving away some buildings in your base that you no longer need a few seconds before attacking can be valuable.
I didn't say testing AIs, I said testing for them, as in checking if a unit giving to the enemy instantly starts skirmishing.

There are more cons than pros in this case. Having an option for every mod like BA does would be much nicer. Removing enemies from the sharing list when this option is enabled would be nice too.
