Just makes me think how awesome if he had a simcity mod where u need to build stuff correctly until the timer hits 0 or you'v accumulated enough of something or built a special building...

More or less. You can send tanks but they don't do anything much.
It's quite like simcity; you have to balance residential areas and the commercial where they work, you have to make some infrastructure to expand, you have to reach certain goals to unlock some of the more advanced structures, you have to make some special buildings to keep your residents happy, and you make some industrial to rebuff the few enemy tanks that might come. At the end you make a launch arcology and win.

In his defense, SimBase was always prettymuch under the radar. I don't remember ever seeing release threads, wiki pages, website.... anything about that game.

No need for that smoth, pxtl is pretty much right on the money there.

And the fact that you still hear about SB *might* have something to do with the fact that you hang out in the channel owned by its creator :P

Not to mention the fact that when people hear simbase they assume the style of play and not a mod that they haven't heard of.

I remember springbase...I only tried it once but it looked like an ota economy based warfare mod...not a simcity like game...
Was it different?
I don't see why your all making it into such a big deal.
Where did it say Everyone must try and know how to play each and every mod?

I think you missed the point they were going for, they didn't mean literal sim city.

It's sim city but with more of what the StarCraft guys call macro.

By that I mean micro.

You mean simcity as in you eco for the entire game like you eco in BA?
Na i mean actually like simcity or maybe a civilizatioon simcity cross but everything should be purely economic and there should be a way ot harm the other players eco but not through combat...
Or something that involves indirectly controlling your units/buildings...

edit-
Maybe something similair to settlers 2...

You can hurt them just fine without combat. You can absorb their entire base if you're clever about it.

guys, get a room. this is the pba thread.

@trademark, that's 0.21. 0.22 is a beta rebalance, but I haven't tested it yet due to irl work.
also, I'm pretty sure 0.22's balance won't be detected by modit due to usage of luas.

i consider this mod, awesome.

Edit, i think the only thing youd need to change is the fact that commanders always kill themselfs when theres units very close to itself.

Special damage from every t1 unit so that you dont end up raping a com in one shot?

Also E stalling is pretty fail after a while.

lastly, t1 arm gunships rape for rushing
